Some rich fat golfer smoking a stoggie, got pissed cause he couldnt make par and threw his lighted stoggie into the woods and there you go fire started. I t wasnt because there was lightning, it wasnt the deer, and 2 rocks didnt get together to make love and a spark lit a leaf..Save the forrest!!! Or was it some stupid hiker that didnt put out the campfire...

The fire is not on the Blue Mountain. The fire is on Stoney Ridge. Fireline and Hahns Dairy roads are north of Palmerton and Aquashicola, respectively.

There needs to be a total ban on outside burning in this area. Everyday in the news some "Brush fire" gets out of control. Carbon Cnty is nearly all forest and these morons continue burning things that can be recycled or disposed of in other manners with no regard to dry conditions, or wind. Find out who's responsible and make them pay for the helicopter and all other support needed to put out this fire. I hope it does not get to any homes.

Lots of speculation without a hint of evidence. Not that ever stops a good MC forum. Carry on.

I was visiting in the area and there were many open fires burning trash. Yes it is dry out there for the most part. Problem is if the fire gets out of hand there is no water to put it out! The fire was at a different area..but the fire houses responded from all over the area to fight the fire.
