Probation for an unprovoked attack? Simply pathetic. And the Democrats wonder why they cannot curb crime. This kid should have been locked up for at least 10 years without parole and the father for at least 5 without parole.

I think the victims in this case did the right thing considering how corrupt, biased, and apathetic the court system is. I am just glad that the father and son were not hurt. The scumbag perpetrator didn't even attend the sentencing.

Acevedo's have been causing trouble since they moved to town, drugs, gang activity, etc... I'm sure the kid deserved everything he got. Wish they'd go back to Philly!!!

I completely agree with you on this one. But they keep multiplying like a virus! We're never going to get rid of them at this point! It's a shame that they bring that crap to what used to be an extremely safe town. No one keeps their doors unlocked any longer.

Congrats to the father and son, this kid and his homies are a major problem in Jim Thorpe, this is not the first time they have jumped a kid (cowards). Tired of these city transplants starting fights, robbing our homes and spray painting everything and nothing happening to them. Punks!!! move back to Philly and New York!!!!

People in gangs seem to die or go to jail........smarten up and straighten out your life. Get an education, a job and be proud of yourself. Its easy to be in a gang, be a man and live a straight life.

What are their parents like? Do they live in Albrightsville or Jim Thorpe? If in Albrightsville, I'd love to know who I should be watching out for...
