I wonder if we could power an entire Borough with these? I'd like to stick it up PPL's be-hind, as well as the oil companies. WIND IS FREE!

I'm sure that the owner has had some local wind power studies done. The overall composite wind power index for PA is pretty slim in most places compared to more appropriate places across the US.

Some of the the most impressive places to see wind power in action is at Altamonte Pass in CA (by sheer numbers of windmills) and on the southern slope of Haleakala Crater on Maui (for most breathtaking and isolated installation) which powers about 9% of the island's needs. The wind through that area is consistent and powerful, the windmill vanes are really spinning away most times.

Townships should approve windwills eventhough they r over the hght limits. Developers get variances all the time to build McMansions on precious open space and what do they contribute but become an eyesore. At least the turbines would provide power and same as cell towers, we would get used to them in time ..
