The parent should be charged with levaing the firearm within access of a minor.

I own a few guns and have a small son I would never leave them sitting somewhere where he could get ahold of it. Its dumb people like this that should not be allowed to have any guns.

I think if parents would educate their kids on what guns can do and that its not like in the video games things might be alittle better. Well that and keep the guns locked up when your not using them. I know if you have a carry permit your saying "Well that means that when I come home I have to walk upstairs and open the safe and put it in and lock it." Well would you rather do that or have you kid in jail or dead because you were too lazy to take the responsibility you took when you had kids and own a gun.
