Republicans gear up for Feb. 9 caucus
“I just think the caucus system is a way to disenfranchise a lot of people”
The upcoming Republican presidential caucus will be much like a regular election, except there's only one local polling place, you have to show up at a particular time, there are no absentee ballots and electioneering at the polls is strongly encouraged.
On Thursday, the state GOP outlined its plan for when, where and how to allow the average Republican a say in the selection of the party's presidential nominee.
It's been a long time. The last Kansas primary was in 1992, and the last GOP presidential caucus was in 1988. Read more
