I think it is a great idea. We should have a recreational zoo more local than Lehigh Valley, Norristown or Philadelphia. I chuckle at the supervisors comments. If this man is in the zoo business and myself formerly having a small game farm, we probably know the regulations better than they do. After all Bucks County has several municipalities that are unlicensed zoos everyday.

i think that would be a great idea, we dont have a local zoo around , except for in philadelphia and this is a great idea for kids. theres not to many big attractions like this in bucks county...and it would be an asset for the county

With the technologies available in the modern world, zoos are outdated and unnecessary.

Cruella: I think YOU'RE unnecessary! What should he do with the animals -- torture them, kill them, let them run wild, perhaps into your backyard so YOU can kill them with your bare hands. The zoo is a wonderful idea for those of us who love animals.

How can you say that? Seeing an animal on the internet or on TV is better than in person? I hope you never have children for they would be forced to live a sheltered life.

"Do you have any children?
Aside from modern technology,
a day at the zoo does provide
a sense of relaxation,education
and quality time for,
"children of all ages",to enjoy
the nicer things in life.
With so much negative publicity
going on these days,
why not provide some positive
benefit to society?"

I agree that many of the zoos are old, and appear outdated, by leaving small areas for the animals. If they can get more public and private funding they can be used to build better habitats and allow peaple to appreciate these beautiful animals and in many cases bring them back from the brink of extinction.
