Trial Begins For Former Assistant DA Accused Of Killing Girlfriend

That's it? Where is the rest of the story? How about the fact that Richard Patton had many complaints against him as an attorney, or that he told everyone around town that he was hiding all his money to avoid paying the family in a wrongful death suit. Or how about how Richard Patton bragged at a bar that since he was a former DA, he would try to use his influence to get his prosecutor to go easy during the trial? Or what about the rumor that Richard Patton had been physically abusive to Heather Demew?
I would like to know more facts about this case, and I think it deserves more than 12 seconds of time.

This trial of Patton is bogus. I met Patton at the DA's office in 1986 and I personally never liked the guy, but the fact is he's being railroaded (legally). This case down deep represents the dark side of Bucks politics, which somebody or somebodies want to sweep under the rug forever. The fact is 23 years ago when Patton was hired as an Asst. DA, he flunked the Bar exam and had no experience or academic achievement compared to other job candidates, but he was a sex machine. I suspect he swung both ways to further his professional career. I say he's being railroaded because a non-ambulatory Doylestown woman recently died in a house fire after Bucks 911 operators repeatedly put her on hold despite her begging for help.
That's gross negligence there but they were never charged, not even fired or suspended. then back in 1969, Senator Ted Kennedy was driving home dead drunk with a girl he met at the party and after a 1 car accident where his car went off a bridge into water, he went home and did not report the accident for many hours. That's gross negligence but he was never charged. Patton at one time was very connected by money, sex, or something, and now some powers to be in bucks want to sweep him and that ugly little decade of the 1980's under the rug.

Mack, are you kidding. Nothing is getting swept under the rug. This guy was drunk and responsible for the death of this girl. Patton has gotten away with things for years. It is about time he goes to jail.
