6 Million Swasikas Found in Brooklyn

Brooklyn, NY - Five swastikas were found painted on a sidewalk in the Borough Park section of Brooklyn.

Residents were cleaning up the neighborhood outside the Maimonides Medical Center when the swastikas were discovered.

The hate symbols were painted on the corner of 49th Street and 10th Avenue and two more were found on a fire hydrant.

The other swastikas were discovered on a van and on a street sign in the Kensington section of Brooklyn.

The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the incident.

Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-Brooklyn) discussed the issue with the authorities then issued the following statement:

“I don’t want to give extra attention to the criminals who are painting swastikas in our neighborhood, but neither should our residents fear that these incidents are going unchallenged or will go unpunished. It’s just a matter of time before a witness or surveillance camera leads us to the culprits and then there will be a heavy price to pay for these serial hate crimes. There are many cameras in place and many more are coming.”

Last month, at least six swastikas were found spray-painted on several Borough Park buildings, including a synagogue, as well as on automobiles. Assemblyman Hikind offered a $5000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators.

As usual these swastikas were pointed in the wrong direction.
