As a fellow teacher at Macon County High School I can assure anyone who reads this article that Howard High School is extremely fortunate. His leaving here is a major loss that we will feel for many years to come. Icame from CA to teach here. Coach Hughes warm welcome made my transition from west coast to east coast easier. When he asked me to volunteer to help with any and all athletics itwas and is impossible to say no. He will always be my friend but I will miss him deeply.
