I just wanted to express that this is probably the biggest waste of county resources ever. This was blown SO FAR out of proportion! According to my source (an AT&T customer in the store making a payment at the time) here's the real scoop....

A customer called in with a complaint.

He was put on hold for about 20 minutes.
When the store manager ignored the clerk's request to pick up the phone the clerk informed the disgruntled customer that the manager would call him back.

*Something* was said from the caller at that time.(my source heard the conversation only from the side of the store)

I'm JUST GUESSING but it was probably something suggesting that he wanted to blow up the store.

NO, that's not okay, ever. HOWEVER, the way it was handled by the store suggests to me that the employees wanted to get out of working for the rest of the day...Just my 2 cents.

I have called the Barrow 911 because my neighbor's house was burning (burnt to the ground) and it took them 4 minutes to answer, 13 minutes to respond with ONE firetruck. This county is understaffed, and lacks resources. HOWEVER, the Publix parking lot was lit up like Christmas within minutes. I think AT&T employees were maybe a little dishonest about the situation if they got them out there that quickly.

P.s. I am a reporter who lives in Bethlehem who works for a national publication.
