my husband and I currently live with a family I started nannying for 7yrs ago when I was single and childless had great credit and a savings account, I got married, realized I was married to a drug addict and got out in debt and very mixed up, the family I nanny for was kind enough to take me in before I was married, then again when I divorced, and kept me when I got married again and gave birth to two of the most amazing children I know, not that I am biased or anything, anyway, after finally climbing to almost even on all my debts and even though my husband makes decent money, the family I am with truthfully stopped really needing a nanny sometime ago, I don't make a pay check like I used to instead I take care of the house and the children in exchange for my family's room and board here, anyway, not so very long ago my husband and I found the cutest little in-law cottage to rent and just a few weeks before we were suppose to move in plans fell through, well with rental cost being what they are now at most apartment complexes and the waiting list for government assisted housing in anne arundel county being as long as it is we are just very stuck, plus my husband works with gentle man doing construction type stuff and he has lots of tools and a small trailer he uses and most apartment places would have no where for us to safely keep those things if they allowed the trailer at all, and I really don't want to raise my children in any of the section 8 or tax credit properties I have visited in my search for a safe and stable home for my family, currently we have 9 people living in a 4 bedroom house, I know many people are probably in far worse situations than we are but we are so crowded here, and I know that as much as the family we live with considers us family and they would never let us live on the streets, they must want to have their space and privacy back, I guess after all this what I am trying to do is find some one who maybe has a basement apartment, in-law apartment, ect... that could accommodate a family of four that we could rent at a reasonable price, we lived in a place in north carolina for a few months last yr while taking care of a sick relative and they had a county community message board where people helped each other out with stuff like this, this message board doesn't seem to be exactly that, but it was a place to start I guess, hopefully I will get some helpful responses
