I have lived in Andrew County my entire life and I have been following this story very closely. My concerns are, I see a bunch of new faces on the ambulances around town are the old ones all leaving because of the trouble the district is having or is she slowly weeding them out so that she has new followers that do not know how the director really is? I know for a fact from listening to the scanner that there are times it takes them a good 10 minutes or better after they set off some type of tone before i hear a crew go enroute to a call. Are the employees not there in the office or what? I think the district needs an audit what could it hurt for the voters in this county to see what is actually being done with taxpayers money. I have called the ambulance office on numerous occasions to speak with the director about different events in the community and guess what she is always out of town at a meeting after doing some checking I have found that she is out at meetings more than she is in the office so how does it operate with her gone so much. I also know about two employee's that are married, both medics, both scheduled to work the same day and guess what they are always at home until that little tone goes off then you see one of them and sometimes both leave their house and head towards the ambulance barn. I tell you what if I have to call the ambulance with me living right here in town and it takes 15min for them to arrive i will ask alot of questions(I know who the ones are that respond from home)so i will know if that is the reason i had to wait so long. Yes there will be alot of publicity around the matter if this should happen. I could go on and on but I think the citizens in this county better open their eyes and take a look at this director and voice their opinions and get something done about it. Why should the county suffer from a poor ambulance service due to one person that cant seem to run it properly and allows employees to be at home all the time when they are on the clock how many jobs do you know of that let their empolyees sit at home play on the internet have family dinners etc while they are suppose to be on the clock and ready to serve their community.
