Think about what you just said.

If the wife is drunk, how does she recall if she gave the man permission or not? At what degree of drunk would she recall? If drunk, is she the best witness to say she didn't give the man permission? Do you think a jury would believe a drunk wife over the word of a sober husband?

<quoted text>My comment had nothing to do with trust violation...that can and does happen in every sector of the economy..politics, medicine, law, and business without exception. My comment is directly related to the overall ranks of "LE". It is my opinion that a strange crowd is drawn to that "career", usually due to lack of skills or ability and the need to exert power over others in society. I have known many(hundreds)of public/civil servants, cops, firemen, and others...I can honestly say, again without exception, I have never heard police workers say anything nice about the people they serve, black, white, rich or poor.
The cops have nothing nice to say about people because they read blogs written by people like you. Think about it, can you blame them?

Of course they do. And it serves to reinforce the "us vs them" mentality in their minds that is so prevalent in law enforcment nowadays. Police work is not supposed to be about "us vs them". It's suppose to be about them serving the community.

Police officers should perform their duties and apply the law impartially and without prejudice or discrimination. Police officers should treat all members of the public courteously and with respect. Police officers should take no action knowing it will violate the constitutional rights of any person. A police officer should not ridicule, mock, deride, taunt, belittle, willfully embarrass, humiliate, or shame any person to do anything reasonably calculated to incite a person to violence. For a community to have faith in its police officers, officers must avoid conduct that does or could cast doubt upon the impartiality of the individual officer or the Department.

If reading a blog can sway any police officer from this professional code of ethics, he/she has no business being a police officer in the first place. Thank You.

I guess you didn't get the job. Qualification must not have been up to ACPD standards.
There are no qualifications to be a cop... There are Lt's with GED's at ACPD. You show me a cop with a four year degree and I will laugh at his dumb ass for being one.

The whole Alb Co police dept, sherrifs reserve (whatever that is supposed to be?) is nothing but pure COURUPTION!! They need a check back intoi reality! I'm very sad to hear the alligations on Officer Horn. I have known he and his daughter many years abd NEVER has ever made me uncomfortable. Granted there are 2 sides to each story, but don't just focus on other officers.

And what is the BIGGEST joke is that I know of a SPECIFIC cop who foeld trained a pretty offficer. Well the cop's girlfriend met the trainee and (g/f is not a cop) then made the ACPD training officer fail the poor new cop... And from EVERYONE'S accounts she was an awesome police officer! Sorry I just had to throw that out there!!

The girlfriend was jealous and knew what was going to happen eventually.

Too bad it this turn in events couldn't be proven. The FTO would have been fired and the girl would have passed FTO training.

Take your second paragraph and replace the words "Police officers" with "Citizens" and "Department" with "Community". Then chew on it for a while...Does it apply to you?

Citizens haven't sworn to a code of ethics as a term and condition of law enforcement employment.

Citzens who have had to work for their "citizenship" sure do (legal immigrants), and it has nothing to do with employment.

Nice. So apparently it's never rape because all women and girls are promiscuous these days. Lovely. Well, as a victim of a vicious rape in college, that was my only experience with sex until I got married many years later. And when I reported the attack, I got a reaction just like yours -- "oh, everyone has sex, it's your word against his (never mind your injuries!), and you were probably asking for it anyway." Disgusting.

You don't think Hollywood Chip dosen't know the details of this case. Give me a break the guy is handing out badges like candy. Someone go to the election board and see who contributed to his election fund and who got a free badge.
