Including all forms of taxation, from 2005 through 2009, Exxon-Mobil's U.S. taxes ($63 billion) exceeded it's U.S. earnings ($44 billion) by $19 billion.

Compare that to Obama Dodging his Taxes and only paying 26% to taxes on his earnings!

ExxonMobil is now reporting that for its retail gasoline operations in the U.S., it made an average profit of 7 cents per gallon during the first quarter of 2011.

Compare that with Government Taxes of 48 cents per gallon!

Why would you want to PAY MORE at the Pump?

API shows gasoline taxes by state (combined local, state and federal), which range from a low of 26.4 cents per gallon in Alaska to a high of of 66.1 cents per gallon in California, averaging 48.1 cents per gallon across all states.

How does that compare to oil company industry profits of 7 cents per gallon?

The government is making 7 times more profit on gas that the Oil companies!

Woof, Jonny Commy, You live in California. Do you think Gov. Gerry Brown wants lower Gasoline prices? Of course not. The higher the gasoline price the higher the sales tax on a gallon of gas. He isn't going to do anything to help drivers.

Right, and we're supposed to just take Exxon's word for it?
If they make $11 BILLION in profit in ONE QUARTER off of just 7 cents a gallon, then the U.S. Treasury should have taking in 77 BILLION in gas taxes that quarter just from Exxon sales alone.
That's over $300 BILLION a year just from gas taxes from just Exxon's sales.

The federal & state gas taxes are SET amounts, not a percentage of whatever the current price of gas is. Higher gas prices does NOT result in higher tax revenue. If anything, higher gas prices causes people to drive less and therefore buy less gas which DECREASES the amount of tax revenue generated.

Woof, Sheep, I know that, read my post again and than apologize. In California SALES TAX is also applied on GASOLINE, including the state and federal gas taxes. The higher the total price the higher the SALES TAX, which in some counties is 10%. This means the $2.00 per gallon increase since Obama became President is generating California $0.20 per gallon more in SALES TAX. You called me a "total moron", I will accept your apology in your reply.

Former Cong Martin Frost of Texas said today,"EXXON lost their subsidt 36 years ago and the only oil people getting depletion subsidys are the small oil companies". He says the president is wrong and he is strong supporter of Obams. Exxon is the only oil company in the largest 17 oil companies in the world that is US.
