about ss '92 tho... bret hardly deserves kudos for dropping the ic title to davey boy... the guy was basically his best mate, married to his sister & challenging for the belt, on ppv, in front of his hometown fans... & it worked out well for bret anyway... he won the world title about 2 months later...sweet thing for the wwf to do all around really...
i've always been torn about montreal. vince shouln't have done it... but bret should be jobbing... he's leaving the company. it makes the wwf look weak if he leaves without putting anyone over... especially as he ended up walking into an upper midcard slot in wcw (how's it going to look if a guy who no-one in wwf can beat is only good enough for the us title?).
its a shame how it all turned out... bret deserved better.

Yeah...somehow the montreal incident was entirely poitive for the wwf & entirely negative for wcw. hart debuting by getting involved in the hogan/sting match we'd been waiting a year to see (fast count my a**...who booked that cr*p?) & was then booked as a whiner for the next year...whereas vince became, amazingly, the hottest heel in the business off the back of it...which, of course, is where scsa came in...it couldn't have worked out better. well, for vince.
