I don't shop at Walmart. Ever. I went once and left without buying anything. I will never go back.

If you hate walmart, I suggest shopping at your local hardware, grocery, and retail stores and keep your money in your community. Our nation needs to start rejecting Big Box shopping before it kills our communities.

Amen. Don't forget, shopping at Target, BestBuy, and any other big box retailer is just as bad as shopping at walmart. I applaud the business model, just not the ethics of driving mom and pop out of business in the process.

Doesn't matter what they do, they're still Mall-Wart, aka China Central.

Everyone loves to bash WalMart....It's part of the "union mentality"....[and we see what unions have done for our country]..
If WalMart started pulling out of communities, you'd hear a different tune, because the fact is, WalMart is a valuable asset to a city....
Those little "mom-pop" stores everyone cries are being put out by WalMart don't come close to paying taxes or wages that WalMart does....
Try "buying American" at J.C.Penny.....It's like "buying American" at Ford, where most cars are made in Mecico or Canada......

The next step will be to hire greeters with a personality and a education level higher than the eighth grade. Also they should also mention their felony records during the interview.

with the exception of their frozen items and big brands that are priced better than Kroger and Miejer.....their overall food selection is LAME.

I watch prices very closely and with the exception of key items (big brands, staples, cotton socks, light bulbs), I don't see the price advantage of Wal-Mart.

And once you get in "the neverending check out aisle" your savings dwindle if your time is worth more than the product savings.

I'll stick to Kroger and Meijer.

There are few locally-owned stores left because it's *already* too late.

How does the phrase go?......something about putting lipstick on a pig? That's the "new" Wal-Mart.

I'm a Meijer's fan - right across the street from Wal-Mart, more competitively priced, and really GOOD store-brand food.

What bull crap. Wider aisles are because they've cut way back on inventory. More natural lite because it's free. More self-serve registers=even less minimum wage employees. They constantly are moving items so you end up wandering around aimlessly trying to find what you want, which they probably no longer carry. Walmarts are in trouble and I sincerely hope they go bankrupt, they've been the ruination of the small business owner.

No. Walmart is a fricken toilet. I don't give a crap if all their stuff is made in China. They just flat out suck. I got tired of feeling like I needed a shower every time I left there. Haven't been back since and have no plans to return unless I see a "free beer" sign on their front window.

They sure do need wider isles to allow all the motorized chair/carts to move around with all the lardazzes on board. Wal-mart wants all the customers they can get.

they are making the aisles wider for those fat assed people on scooters who are too fat and lazy to walk. then when they are done shopping they go outside light up their cigarette and get in their junk ass car with the handicapped sticker.

Wal-Mart's changing it's look, but not policies, to attract more customers and convince them they *look* like a place with good policies.
Aside from the labor aspect and running out small, local businesses, this economy that Wal-Mart supports is built upon an unsustainable model based on fossil fuels. Watcha gonna do when we run out of affordable fuels, if you got rid of all the local systems?

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Gemini

You're in a warm-hearted and generous mood today, especially when dealing with loved ones and members of the family. You want to give them as much of your time as possible, and also to do anything else that will keep them happy. The only snag will come if you're trying to spread yourself too thin and you end up making promises that will be difficult, if not impossible, to keep. You may forget all about them but other people won't.
