This may be off topic but I am curious as to why, with this huge bailout, the only workable solution Citimortgage can offer us is to short sale the house or turn it over to them. We have tried to work with them to avoid foreclosure. We asked them to work up a loan modification so that we could bring our payment down from $1,300 to $1,000 a month (which we can now afford). You see, we had to wait 2 1/2 years for my husband to be approved for his Social Security Disability; this is the reason we fell behind on payments.
What are they doing with the bail out money? It surely is not being used to help customers save their homes.
citi only cares about citi. the money addicts that run the financial districts, and wall street, of new york city.

Dear Joe -
Obama has been in office less than one month.
Remember George W. Bush? Remember when he was running for office and people kept questioning his abilities due to a few companies he managed to bankrupt? Well, all those fears were realized as he now managed to bankrupt the world economy.
To blame this on the guy who inherited the problem is just ... well... what Fox News, Rush Limbaugh and the likes of the GOP slime want you to believe. But your assertion is laughable and simply not true. This all happened on W's watch. The first trillion dollar failed bailout... yep, that was W's crew.
Read the paper. And pray, because the mess W got us into will take a tremendous amount of work. If the GOP could just focus their energy on something other than being hateful maybe we'd have a chance.
Joe... you're an idiot. Keep drinking the kool-aid and pointing your finger in the wrong direction... instead of actually trying to try to solve the problem at hand.
Look who is pointing fingers. If you are going to point, point it in the right direction.

Obama was part of the team that sued banks to allow for lower loan standards for minorities which helps cause the mortgage issue we have now.

Democrats refused to acknowledge that we had an issue with Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. All attempts to regulate them were turned down by a DEMOCRATIC controled Congress. Yes GWB was in the white house but he can't sign something that congress does not give him. As far as TARP goes. Something needed to be done, and again what GWB signed was what the DEMOCRATIC controlled congress gave him.

What happened yesterday? A new bill was signed that was worse than the first one. Most of the House approved it without even reading the whole bill. It took me months to select my home and mine cost 265k. we just spent 800 BILLION in the course of a few weeks with congress men in control. the same congress that can't balance a check book.(A few years ago they released the congress checking account info and it showed how many were over drawn, fees etc. This was on their government accounts)

Even Speaker Pelosi said that they had been working on the stilulus for months or years. it was a wish list come true.

You might want to learn to think and read for yourself instead of following the ObamaFlock.

The problem was just made worse.

I tried to work with chase bank to keep my house of 31 years, they said no, they would rather send there money to India instead of helping america.I said how about the Obama programs, they told me they don't follow the Obama programs, I said i'll have to go bankrupt them, they told me you do what you have to do!!!!!
So i pray heavily every that that the Lord makes them fail like nobody else has ever failed, for letting so many people loose there homes..
