Not going to happen...at least for right now...WAG is losing market share and revenue, and RAD has too much debt.

Not a chance. Rite Aid still has billions of debt, and what makes you think WAG would purchase Rite Aid now when WAG stock and profits are dropping and they didn't purchase Rite Aid when it was trading for 25 cents/share and WAG business was booming? Just because a few store managers or cashiers think it would be a great idea doesn't mean it would be.

acquiring 6 plus billion in debt, having to close stores that are close to one another (which would increase unemployment in areas), never would make sense and would not be approved by ftc.

What's this ftc. They just approved esi medco merger. Number 1 bought #2 out.. also if wag bought out rite aide it would give them a lot of leverage for future contracts with big pbms like esi medco. So you close down 1000 rite aide stores. That leaves you with 3700 stores. And the majors markets. California and ny. Are yours. No one will low ball you anymore. You are now a client tobthe pbm. Not a service anymore. Big leverage here. Do it before cvs does. Remember longs drugs?

If wag is thinking of scrapping the whole wellness idea, i can say that in all likelihood rite aid wont be bought by WAG
