"There are many 20/30 something whites who will log on as Blacks in the hopes of "telling it like it is", BETTER than they think an actual Black can." Interesting. I would like to draw the attention of any other black people who read this comment thread to the quote above. I think you know what she's really saying, don't you? It's funny, when you think about it. No, I'm black, and have been black for somewhat more than 20-30 something years. I followed a link included in a post on a black blog to Mr. Payne's column. Obama? Obama who? As I said before, Obama is irrelevant to what I'm talking about. In any case, my comments are actually intended for other black people.

Surely, you have enough gumption to take advantage of a handout, don't you? There is no Affrimitive Action or quotas Wendy, and where are all these handouts that Black Americans are getting? please either you are just totally stupid or just like me a racial bigot. I wished I was getting all those goodies from your people because I would buy me an island away from your race and perverted values. . Great post and dead on point, totally in agreement. Where do these people get this affirmative action nonsense from? I haven't seen any of it. The original purpose of it decades ago was to assure QUALIFIED MINORITIES WOULD NOT BE PASSED OVER, not putting unqualified indivuals over QUALIFIED INDIVUALS as the distorters of truth continue to pontificate. In recent times the biggest beneficiaries of affirmative action has been WHITE FEMALES, the mother of the WHITE MAJORITY. So anyone who says blacks are the beneficiaries of affirmative action is either brain dead or totally out of touch with reality.

Well Annon whites always blame someone (usually black) just look Redneck Wendy !!!! she blames us for being lazy when she can't admit her race is a perverted, criminal race of people. Great post!!! Truthful indeed, when one can't advance due to their own incompotence or lack of skills, they play the blame game (Welfare, affirmative action, illegal immigration, etc.) Instead of looking in the mirror, they judge what they percieve others are doing because they are afraid to look at themselves. Thank you for your comments.

...or, they consider it an invaluable weapon in the practice of racial politics, and are loathe to give it up, even though they're aware of what affirmative action is today, to the extent that it still exists for blacks.

I didn't say my father had problems dealing with White people, I said my father had a fear of White people, and he carried the slave mentality throughout his life. Fortunately for myself the rest of my siblings my mother had a college education to help us through our education, and careers. My father wouldn't even defend himself against a White man, but he sure as hell would defend himself against a Black man. This is the fear that was instilled in him. If you really look at the facts, this happens in a lot of Black neighborhood to this day. Do the crime in your own neighborhood and you take less of a chance of going to jail because the police don't give a hoot if we kill, rob and steal from each other, but go in Garden City, and they dont care if you are innocent or not some Black man with sagging jeans, do-rag, or black hat is going to do some time. Just one reason why there is so much Black on Black crime. It don't make it right, and I am not making excuses, but it goes back to the root. I'm saying if white people don't want to live in black neighborhoods it's called "racism". If black people (I limit that to African-Americans)don't want to live in black neighborhoods, it's called "getting a piece of the pie".

The irony is, now white people are moving into Harlem for convenience and African-Americans are objecting because rents are going up. So if a white person chooses to live in Harlem, can afford it and feels comfortable there, why should African-Americans object?

I know black life. I grew up in Flatbush. And then Hempstead as a young man. And now Uniondale. I'm too old now to get away from them. The older dark-complected folks now will do you with a gun on the street. The younger ones cruise on bicycles in a pack to do a victim. The rest just try to do you for "another quarter for the bus" or a cigarette while you go out in the morning for a lousy newspaper and some fresh air. I'm in. Even after I'm dead shortly - the Great Society is working. Keep those entitlements working. The lay-down race is happy to be in the suburbs. The Nassau cops often watch Uniondale High School with a helicopter and horse cops when the "diversity" blesses the neighborhood after school.

And by the time they are 19 they have 2 more and are pregnant, not a single one of the 4 fathers around. Now there is an improvement eh? this exists in your community as well but alot of your kids either get an abortion or kill the baby and hide it in a closet.

"Wendy I think Annon has a point you Dumb white Hick and he's on point about "your people" and the excuses you makeand defend with impunity." Well grooveman, you illiterate walking on all fours, baboon..(how does it feel) I find it amusing that the first thing a black guy wants to do is call someone a "dumb white hick" when he runs out of argument. Grooveman do you honestly think Wendy's statements stand alone? You dont want dialogue with anyone. You just want to play the "woe is the black man" game and whites wont play it anymore. Read the white man's lips, the fall back on slavery for all the black communities woes doesnt fly anymore. There is a reason why(some) blacks have had and continue to have a hard life. You can't admit that almost any society any race of people can and always will exploit blacks because of one reason. Because they can. The blacks on almost any continent hand themselves over on a silver platter practically screaming "take me take me".What does America do? It gives in its laws, the ability for every man to rise above his economic status in life and pursue a better standard of living for himself and his family. But thats never enough for the black community, they want to grab the constitution by the balls and sqeeze it to death, at the expense of every other race. Then when they still cant rise up to a level playing field, they threaten violence and persecution. Its a vicious circle I dont see the black community as a whole ever rising up from...these post prove it.

The best thing for blacks to do is recognize that we really aren't all in this together, and take the necessary steps to advance and protect OURSELVES, and recognize that our first concern should always be OURSELVES. It's time to step away from American society, or I should say, acknowledge the fact that we are away from American society, and leverage that fact to our best advantage. Instead of having our collective nose pressed against the window, we should step back, reach in, take what we need, and leave the rest. I still say we are all in this together. We will continue to live in this country and however our federal and state government views and governs the law we will all pay the price. If it's thru our pocketbooks, jobless, no health insurance, mortgage crisis however the situation fits a personal agenda we will all somehow be caught up in the system. How do you view the current situation that our country faces, and what leverage do you speak of? What do you mean by "step back reach in take what we need, and leave the rest"? Please explain.

Black American life is exactly how they make it ..They have had every opertunity handed to them many times over .. And with the support of people like Jackson and Sharpton they will never take advantage of them .. With their Black Democratic leaders wanting them to stay in the ghetto and cry discrimination, Thats as far as they will ever get ....... If the Black comunitys would listen to leaders like Powell or Cosby and move up in their life, A lot of things would change .. Remember Jackson's reaction to Cosby when he told a group of young black kids they needed to get an education and move on with their life .. If looks would have killed .. Cosby would be a dead man

So do Norwegians, Swedes, Irish etc. However, nobody commits crimes in the numbers that black Americans do. In fact, black on white crime is MORE THAN DOUBLE than white on black crime. Blacks only make up about 12.5 percent of the population. Yet, they account for 50 percent of all violent crime. All the problems in the black community such as: 70 percent out of wedlock birthrate, more AIDS cases, fatherless homes, high school drop outs, prison, drugs and gangs will continue. It will not change because it's easier for black leaders and white liberals to pretend its not happening or blame it on someone else. Many black women date outside their own race because they know that life with a black man is a dead end. The only way this will end is if the black community is honest with itself. However, when you do find a black man to "call it like it is" he is shouted down and called an Uncle Tom.
