Big Media Makes 'Final Offer' to Actors - SAG contract has expi...

To all the actors who went on strike Monday, I'd like to know when the Screen Actors Guild members will return to film and TV series work. I have not decided when to watch any new television programming this fall
and will compromise on a new deal
with the SAG over redundances from a glut of filmed entertainment product currently in production.

the SAG member actors may reach
a settlement which allows them to
continue returning to series TV now and then

Can Hollywood be saved?

Ron Pearlman told the Associated
Press a few warnings concerning the SAG strike: "I hope that cool
heads prevail and that people get
a chance to work. I'm hoping and
praying that they find some middle ground."

Despite the hype, big media companies are about to be back on
the set of their new motion picture and television projects;
and those properties could end up
released or syndicated by other companies as well.

The writer's killed a lot of good shows last season, I would to see that happen again.

Here we go again. Actors are a dime a dozen. They may want to be very careful should they choose to go on strike. YOu don't think there won't be a quiet little black list? "sorry you didn't get the part" could become a mantra, especially for the newer actors. Maybe even some seasoned pros. I wonder how many of the newer writers will have a future in a few years??? They burned a lot of people. The "regular" people lost a lot of money and couldn't pay bills. YOu don't think they are going to forget that any time soon? If they go on strike, hello tv from other countries.... I believe this is only an American union. Canadian tv has really good stuff. And how many British shows have been made into american shows? i.e. The OFfice. No need to recast with American actors. India has a very large movie industry. I'm sure many more of those will be distributed here in the U.S. Life goes on. There are books to read, sports to participate in. Family and friends to spend time with.

About half of Americas shows are made in Vancover, so its like there your shows anyway.
