Wow, convicted MURDERER out on parole? Like the scum wasn't going to hurt someone again. Yea lisa Madigan, lets pretend that were going to be outraged and do something like passing MORE laws that aren't going to do anything at all. How many laws did this guy break?

I have a great idea, how about we keep the violent thugs and gangbangers BEHIND BARS, KEEP THEM LOCKED UP!
Just like the punk the other day that was charged in the baseball bat beating, 22 years old and 17 ARRESTS! including unlawful use of weapon and attempted murder, and still walking the streets.

Is there an overreaction possible in such cases? I DON'T THINK SO!

How much intelligence and compassion, for the public at large, does it take to make sure stuff like this doesn't happen.

I've heard that sentences and decisions on bail are routinely biased by the fact that the jails and prisons are full. OVERFILL THEM!

"You say these things, because you've never had to endure incarceration". TRUE. "It's easy for you to say, but you're the ethnic majority and have never had to deal with life on the streets". TRUE AGAIN! So I should have to endure the loss of a young lady's life and let low-life scum run the streets, raping, doping, killing, robbing to their heart's content, because we want to guard against judging a book by its cover?
Sorry, but, if I had my way, this guy would have been cast into the dungeon, with similar low-lifes, never to see the light of day or have him murdered in similar kind to his act, and this young lady would still be alive!

How about we give them the chair and save tax payers' money and save many lives in the process. They're incorrigable.(sp?)

Because of the likes of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, this is what happens. They are worried about the CPD and being rouge...my point is and always will be we have a 1,000 times rouge citizens. When they get done disassembling our police department who is going to take care of anyone then. Those of us that border these neighborhoods are going to be screwed and without a gun for protection.

...and the reason I haven't had to endure incarceration is I didn't commit any crimes. They wouldn't have to endure either, had they not committed crimes. They, in fact, CHOSE prison! You make your bed, you lie in it.

Along with the order of protection, the person in need of protecting should be issued a CONCEALED FIREARM CARRY PERMIT....AND SUPPLIED WITH A GUN. Then this scum would be dead and she would be alive. This will never happen while King Richard and his minions are in power. They do not trust the citizens of Ill in noise.

What about NOT DATING A MAN CONVICTED OF MURDER. While the system has problems, lets take some personal responsibility. Either you are attracted to that type of person/lifestyle or you are overly forgiving. Government can't do it all.

I'll have to agree. Removal from existence: the greatest deterrent of all.

Reinstate capital punishment. These guys don't give a crap thinking they have only life in prison to look forward too. Since half their buddies are already in there, what's the deal?

Probably comparable food to what you will get off of welfare.

Put the fear of god into them and make them know that punishment will be swift and fierce.

Forget the execution being humane or violating cruel and unusual. However a murderer killed his victim is the way a murderer should be executed. Letting any murderer out on parole is a violation of the public trust we place in individuals like Lisa Madigan. No person convicted of a violent crime should ever get out early on good behavior or be on parole. Hold them in jail for their full sentence and then release them. When they are released, they should have to do the sam thing a sexual offendor does and not be allowed to live within X number of feet of a school and have to notify neighbors they live in the neighborhood.

I have to agree. It seems like the gal got in over her head and didn't know what to do after the secret was revealed.

Perhaps this is the answer. Get through to the women and tell them to stop going with these thugs. The thugs will realize that if they want some romance, they need to hold a steady job and not live the life of a street thug gangster.

Why isn't this the law already?

We have more people in jail now then ever before but many are the wrong people.
Why not legalize drugs and let out those who are in for selling small amounts.
I mean you get 10 years now for each hit of acid. Do we really need to do that to 18 year olds?
The Beatlles drop acid in their doctors office fahcrissake.
Then tax all drugs heavy use the revenue to pay off debt.
Revenue could be 156 billion a year just from pot.
It would take income away from gangs and it gives you more space in the jails for the killers, rapist and thieves.

This has nothing to do with a liberal in charge of anything. Number one, the parole officer should be fired, immediately. I will help pay the unemployment. Hire people with common sense. This jerk never should have been on the streets. And like a previous poster said, a 22 year old with 17 arrests also should be locked up somewhere or in a prison road gang.

I think we should send all convicted felons over to Irag to fight the war. It would be over a lot faster.

With all the "scientific surveys" and "factual lists" out there of everything and everyone, I wonder if anyone has ever made a "list" of people who commit a crime while out on parole? Wake up people! Bring back the death sentence and life in prison WITHOUT parole!!! Can't you see that there will always be repeat offenders....repeat offenders??

I think an increase in mandatory minimum sentences for drug users should help too!
Great idea but who is going to fund this initiative. The cost would be tremendous. I'm not paying for the millions of junkies in America today.

YO ANYONYMOUS, SCREW THE ENERGY USAGE MY MAN. It will surpass the outlook on energy expense once society sees that it no longer will need Prisons, will no longer FEED these SCUMS.We will be able to afford energy usage in the long run. WE NEED TO CHANGE THE LAWS PEOPLE. No more rights of parole. IF they committed a crime, they will do it again, who is so blind that they can not see this? Check the records.

I don't think capital punishment works very well as a determine. These scumbags don't think they will get caught.

Don't get me wrong -- I am in favor of capital punishment. I just don't think it will deter the first crime -- but it sure will stop a second!

We put down rabid animals -- do't see why 'rabid' humans should be any different.
