Obama jobs plan heartens frustrated blacks

Sep 10, 2011 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: The Kansas City Star

President Barack Obama's jobs pitch is already playing well with blacks, who had grown plenty irked with him over what they perceived as his indifference to their needs.A day after Obama laid out before Congress his plan to kick-start job growth, many blacks hoped it would translate into reduced misery for them over the coming months.

here's the truth...this Imposter in chief has no intention of fixing the unemployment problem...in fact, he's hell bent on getting as many people on welfare and dependent on the Federal government as possible...it is all a well orchestrated socialist marxist strategy...read this article ( it was written during the debt ceiling debate, but it lays out exactly what this president and his fellow socialists have been cooking up for some time.) http://www.americanthinker.com/2011/08/clowar ...

now, look at these numbers from last month and connect the dots... http://www.gop.gov/policy-news/11/09/02/augus ...

He / they have every intention of destroying our great country and replacing it with a society dependent on the government. And by the way, here's a quote for you once you've digested this information.

The goal of socialism is communism.

Why No Democrat Will Challenge Obama

Aug 12, 2011

Should Obama be primaried?
Liberals are fed up with the president, but no Democrat is threatening to challenge him. And one reason, reports Eleanor Clift, is race. Bwahahahahaaha!

A weakened president in an ailing economy would ordinarily invite a stiff primary challenge. But so far nobody has made noises about taking on President Obama despite mounting frustration with his leadership, or lack thereof.

Democrats are furious that he got rolled by the Tea Party Republicans. They think he could have raised the debt ceiling on his own, invoking the Fourteenth Amendment, and instead hid behind lawyers, fearing a legal challenge and settling for far less than he should.

The list of grievances doesn’t end there, with Obama’s conciliatory approach at the core of the discontent. Some Democrats are still yearning for Hillary Clinton, and want Obama to dump Joe Biden and put her on the ticket. They think Obama is not tough enough, that she would have been a better president, but few want her—or anybody else —challenging the incumbent. Even left-wing firebrands like Dennis Kucinich and former senator Russ Feingold aren’t musing about mounting such an effort.

Nor is there much appetite on the left. A Pew survey finds that while the Democratic base has become increasingly disillusioned with Obama, just 32 percent of rank-and-file Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents would like to see a primary fight, while 59 percent say they would not.

This is a pragmatic decision, given the state of the economy and an empowered right-wing opposition.“The president has very little margin for error if he’s going to have a realistic chance of getting reelected, and that’s abundantly clear to everyone in the party,” says veteran political handicapper Charlie Cook.

What's to FEAR?

Anyone contemplating a run against Obama must consider the consequences of not only defeating the president, but the likely repercussions to his or her own career.“If he were white, he would have a progressive challenger,” says Bill Schneider of the Democratic group Third Way. Because Obama is this historic figure, challenging him would hamper the prospects of anyone who wants a future in elective Democratic politics.“Blacks would be deeply offended by a challenge, and that’s no way to score points in the Democratic Party,” says Schneider. African-Americans are the Democrats’ most loyal constituency, and while they too are disappointed in what Obama has been able to accomplish, they are not going to abandon him.

“Who wants to feel responsible for costing the first African-American president his reelection?” they say, ROLFMAO!

Only a progressive ass a hole would put their country;s BEST INTEREST BEHIND the RACE CARD!

More Proof that Democrats are Party First and Country a Distant 2nd or 3rd.

And this latest campaign speech was just to help lock in the black vote for 2012. Wonder what will happen when his jobs act doesn't come through? Maybe they could explain where all the money for this plan is coming from --- Obama's stash perhaps?

Why aren’t African-Americans outraged at Obama over economy?= RACE!

06/09/2011

Between 2004 and 2007 I was a spokesperson and liaison for minority media at the Republican National Committee, and I routinely fielded questions from black journalists about what the Bush White House and Republicans were going to do about the “alarmingly high” 9% unemployment rate for African-Americans. People were outraged when I had the audacity to point out that unemployment was still pretty low (the overall rate was 5%) and that there had been record-breaking continuous and consecutive job growth month-over-month. No matter, the black community was still in a “crisis.” And it was all the Republicans’ fault.

Apparently it still is. After all, who else can be blamed? Some folks get downright indignant at the mere thought that Obama would be challenged on this issue. Others dare not question his administration, perhaps for fear of being labeled racists. Others find themselves, as I recently did, engaged in a heated discussion with a brother who insisted (to the point of calling me a liar) that unemployment was far higher under Bush than it is under Obama. I also recall (during the Bush years) one angry young sister in a long line outside a Washington, D.C.-area gas pump when prices were $4 a gallon screaming how it was “all Bush’s fault.”

The economy has been far weaker under President Obama than it was under President Bush, which is why Obama’s disapproval rating on the economy is at 60%. Even after all of the bailing-out and “stimulating” that was supposed to create jobs and bring us back from the brink, we’re at over 9% unemployment nationwide.

The unemployment rate for African-Americans stands at 16.2%.

Conservatives aren’t surprised by the economic consequences of Obama’s failed policies. What is surprising is the deafening silence among my counterparts in the press corps.

No outrage.
No outcry.
Not a peep.

People aren’t asking the same questions of this president that they asked of Bush. Where are the critical,“non-partisan” voices who spoke out against Bush?

Are they calling the DNC and demanding action? Are civil rights leaders blaming “racist” Obama administration policies for not getting black folks out of these dire straits?

Where is the equal-opportunity reporting?

The Stench of Hypocrisy and Partisan reporting covers the media. It's no surprise the American People distrust them.

It’s no coincidence that the Obama administration has begun to ramp up its so-called “outreach” to black Americans by touting a new African-American White House webpage.

It’s not because President Obama has been successful at closing the achievement gap between white and black students, delivering on substantive health parity issues that plague minorities or creating incentives to help jumpstart minority businesses and create jobs.

It’s because that’s what Democrats do when it comes time to court minority voters.

They pull out the spit and polish to ensure the shoe looks shiny and new. It would behoove black media and GOP hopefuls to pay more attention to the worn-out sole rather than the shine.

27-Year High On Black Unemployment Is A Sign To Wake Up?

Written by Dr. Boyce Watkins
September 7, 2011

The Bureau of Labor Statistics has released its most recent unemployment data. We knew that Black folks (especially men) would be at the bottom, we just didn’t know how bad. Well, it turns out that the numbers exceed even the most pessimistic predictions.

Black unemployment shot up like a rocket during the month of August, rising from an abysmal 15.9 percent to an even more shocking 16.7 percent. Much of the increase was driven by Black male unemployment, which rose from 17 to 18 percent. Black female unemployment remained steady at 13.4 percent, and Black teen unemployment experienced a dramatic increase from 39.2 percent to an astounding 46.5 percent.

If you were white in America, the month of August was pretty good. White unemployment remained consistent across the board, and went down for white males. Overall white unemployment dropped from 8.1 percent to 8 percent. White males saw a decline from 7.9 to 7.7 percent. White women and teens saw their unemployment rates remain unchanged at 7 percent and 23 percent, respectively.

(cont from above)

The Obama Administration has a serious problem.

Every time the numbers show that chronic Black unemployment has reached crisis levels, I think back to the Obama Administration’s delusional assertion three years ago that a “rising tide will lift all boats”(that targeted economic policy would not work as well as a general policy that helps everyone – after all, he is “everyone’s president”). Well, I’m here to report to the Obama Administration: The tide not only missed our boat, but Black folks are sinking to the bottom of the economic ocean.

One of the most telling signs of racial inequality in America is the fact that African Americans are not only subjected to the very worst economic circumstances in the country, but we are also not allowed to be upset about it. Middle class Tea Partiers can gather in Washington to complain about health care, wealthy white folks can get upset about a tiny spike in taxes, and white Americans can remain justifiably outraged over a measly eight percent rate of unemployment. But when African Americans say a word about widespread and virtually unprecedented economic suffering in the presence of a Black president, we are referred to as Uncle Toms or told that we are demanding too much.

Perhaps it’s time to grow up and get a political education. Instead of being pacified by a beautiful statue of Dr. King or appearances by President Obama on the Tom Joyner Morning Show, it’s time that we force all of Washington (including Obama) to have their “Beyonce Moment”: Say my name. Let me know that you are with me in my suffering. Don’t force my people to live in the socioeconomic basement in painful silence so as not to offend a powerful Black man from an Ivy League University. The call to consciousness within Black America is not a matter of attacking or hating President Obama. It’s a matter of getting the Obama Administration to admit that they were wrong.

Like wide-eyed children, we trusted the Obama Administration and their Wall Street-wired economic advisers to incorporate policies that would make life better for our people, in addition to the rest of America. Well, the evidence is clear and the verdict is in: Those policies have not worked. The president would be wise to let go of the charade, admit that mistakes were made and profess that it’s time to take the country in another direction.

Additionally, African American leaders who continue to work to elevate the Obama campaign without demanding true reciprocity in exchange for the Black vote risk being perceived as political slum lords. Again, this is not to say that one does not have the right to aggressively campaign for President Obama. But it’s another thing to present the president as “the really cool brother you should vote for.” Instead, addressing administration policies and gauging their sensitivity to our community’s needs should be mandatory before simply pulling out the “Black man card” for the next election.

(A racist DR continues the explanation of Race FIRST)

One of the most painful challenges of demanding our rights from Washington is that we are forced to confront the possibility that the Black man we loved so much may not have our best interests at heart. Also, with every mention of Black unemployment comes the predatory glance of blood-sucking Republicans, who are waiting with open arms. Finally, there is the uncomfortable reality that we are harming the progress of one of the greatest Black men in American history. To have Obama in the middle of the government that has played a powerful role in building this cesspool of political neglect is like a slave’s best friend guarding the master’s house on the night of the revolt.

In spite of our respect for Obama, there must come a time when our love for Black folks must supersede any quest for personal or political gain. There must be a time when empty excuses go out the window, and where African Americans engage in individual and collective action that will get us out of this hell hole. Times have gotten too critical for us to worry about protecting Barack Obama or anyone else – I just want to protect our people.

Barack Obama has gone to Congress asking for more money to spend. The President, in a rambling and tedious exercise mixing blame with demands, made quite a few dubious statements in laying out the case for Congress to vote for the plan which as yet does not exist. Much like Obamacare, Congress must ultimately vote for the bill to know what is in it.

At one point Mr. Obama made a major gaffe; he identified Abraham Lincoln as the founder of the Republican Party.

Lincoln did not join the Republicans until 1856, over two years after the party was founded. The first Republican convention was held in Ripon, Wisconsin in 1854.

Such a gaffe would have brought huge amounts of ridicule and derision on George W. Bush, but in the case of Obama the media yawned.

Statistics on black youth unemployment in DC have been on the wires for months. Maxine Waters held a meeting with residents of the war zone in Detroit and quoted the shameless statistics of black unemployment.

How many black cities did odummy visit on his bus tour?

Has odummy addressed black unemployment in any of the speeches given on the subject until now?

Do you really think odummy gives a damn about black youth unemployment?

If you do, I have a New York bridge for sale CHEAP!!!!

Most of the blacks in Texas have jobs, under a republican governor and legislature. Average hourly wages in Texas is $17 an hour as opposed to the left claiming it's all "below minimum wage!" Both my doctors nurses are black and 1/4 of the teachers in Texas are black.

Funny the claims being made about Texas from the left these days. I was at a high school football game last night, sat with many black and hispanic friends and cheered our teams on. Didn't see a thing they've been talking about. But look at the last ten years of the lefts claims!

Bush stole the election....let 9/11 happen....caused Katrina (you know he had the Air Force secretly seed the clouds to strengthen the winds, knock out the oil platforms and raise prices!).....Sprayed chemtrials all over us....Jenna bought a 90,000 acre ranch in Paraguay where Bush would rule the New World Order which had a military base set up already (that was a good one, but Paraquay hasn't found it yet!)...Bush was AWOL (proven false by the men he served with and USA Today)....McCain started the Forrestal Fire, sang to the North Vietnamese while a POW for five years (proven false by Col. Bud Day)...Palin this...Bachman that.....Now it's Perry and below minimum wage, etc.

Dismayed, where in the hell do they get this stuff? Mushrooms?
