A neighbor of mine really likes his explorer which is several years old. I personally like the Edge better, if you want a more car-like ride. There are some improvements in the 2011 Edge in performance and MPG's.

Whatever works

The new one is a car-based vehicle which is probably very much like the Edge. I think it'll do well.

Stop It wrote: <quoted text> I have no problem with faulting Toyota for the creation of their recalls--they created the underlying manufacturing issues and cannot blame anyone else for that. That said, Toyota's issues have indeed been ruthlessly exploited by the US media, the domestic competition, by the US government, by US politicians, and by anti Toyota bloggists like yourself. There is absolutely no question these issues Toyota has experienced have been blown way out of proportion, and this has been a major contributing factor in Toyota's sales declines. At the best of times JJ, not even you can deny that.(Although I know you'll do your best to cover it up!) I do not agree.

According to Edmunds.com January is indeed expected to be very profitable for GM. Their projected sales are 162,600, up 11.1% from Jan 2010. Ford is expected to sell 129,000 vehicles, up 12.8 %. For Toyota the projection is 117,400, up 18.8% from Jan 2010. Kudos to Ford and GM for their innovation and improved reliabiity. The increase of 18.8% in sales for Toyota shows that they are still in the ballgame and a worthy competitor. GM and Ford still lag behind in most foreign countries. With less expensive smaller vehicles like the Cruze, Fiesta and Focus GM and Ford will be more competitive there as well.

The damage is done. The job is complete.
