Everybody is up but toyota. cars are big investment and there are too many auto manufacturers who make good cars to buy one from a manufacturer who is suspect.

Or maybe they sold last year at the same time even more cars than this year. And maybe they made a deal about recalls with the US government to give cpr to some other car makers, and a little room for the korean-toyota. You have to have competition, otherwise its so lonely.

As far as I'm concerned, what we're seeing is--in large part--a result of a very intentional hatchet job levied upon Toyota by D3 public relations people, the US Media, the US Government, and last but not least this "Buy American" hysteria which is being hyped by politicians.

Recalls are certainly part of it, but anti foreign trade 'mass hysteria' brought on by the Wall Street economic disaster has played a huge part in Toyota's fortunes--and Asian trade in general..

It's always the same--when the US finds itself in an embarrassing situation, inevitably the US looks outside its own borders for blame.
Toyota's current woes came at a very convenient time for the US financial sector looking to take some attention from their disastrous fiscal policy mistakes.

Perhaps more fact than fiction, I'm afraid.
Evidently your self interest takes precedence over discernment.
And instead of a rational response, you chose the opposite.
That goes to character---lack of it.
Well, given your history in these forums, at least you're consistent.

Is that the sum total of your intellectual capability---just ranting immaturely whenever your testosterone level needs a boost ?
What a pity that you are unable to contribute constructively to any of these discussions.

I bet the recalls are to blame for Toyota's horrible sales loss.

Toyota is a damaged brand.

I think the negative PR campaign waged by others is just as much (if not more) to blame.

What do ya think, Canuck? Are you gonna accuse BMW and Mercedes conspiring against Toyota? Don't read too much fiction, boy.

Why do you always seem to think "it's somebone elses fault?"

This is Toyota's fault and nobody else. Toyota made those recalled cars and they are responsible. Do not try to pass the buck.

Shucks---no improvement.
Evidently you don't take too kindly to some well deserved advice.
Not a very constructive post---still ignorant too my friend.
Any chance we could get something a little more mature from you?

I have no problem with faulting Toyota for the creation of their recalls--they created the underlying manufacturing issues and cannot blame anyone else for that.

That said, Toyota's issues have indeed been ruthlessly exploited by the US media, the domestic competition, by the US government, by US politicians, and by anti Toyota bloggists like yourself.
There is absolutely no question these issues Toyota has experienced have been blown way out of proportion, and this has been a major contributing factor in Toyota's sales declines.

At the best of times JJ, not even you can deny that.(Although I know you'll do your best to cover it up!)
