So are you agenda driven or reality driven? I don't drive a car made in China. I drive a car made in America by non-union workers. The unions supported Obama and he is trying to implement socialism in America. He should just emigrate to China and enjoy its socialism and leave our economic system alone. The unions have helped him in his quest. That is why I will never buy union made. Americans should wise up to the dangers of the unions.

If you paid dues to an organization that made contributions to the Obama campaign, then you supported his election. I will not support the products being made by unions because of their support of Obama in the last campaign. I believe that Obama and his unions advisors are plotting to destroy non-union companies. They started with Toyota. I hope other Americans join me in boycotting union made products but that is choice they have to make.

I understand how you could get confused with all of the"isms" being thrown around as of late. But trust me there is a huge difference. You speak of "our economic system", and like I stated before. Our system is all but owned by Communist China at this point. By you allow yourself to be manipulated into this manufactured socialism charge coming from the right. Chinese people enjoy very little socialism as you put it. Far less then us American for sure. For example, when you drive to work in the am, on roads created by Gov. projects, and funded by tax dollars....thats socialism. When you dial 911 for police and/or EMS assistance, once again funded by public money....socialism. I see that you are from Tenn. That stimulus money that's coming your way.....socialism. Public library, public works, parks, eco preservations, roads, bridges, sidewalds, bike paths, armed forces, NASA, welfare, social security, medicare, medicade, subways, port authority, Electric Cooperatives, public transit.....all socialism. So please, until your willing and able to fund all of those thing privately get off the Fixed News socialism BS. Oh, and btw. Don't bother responding to the question if you are a person of principle or political agenda. Its clear exactly whom you are.

Roads and some other items you names are funded in large part by its users through taxes on gasoline. Deny the truth all you want. Unions are destroying America. The worst thing unions have done is help elect Obama and impose on Americans his radical administration. I'm from Tennessee and the worst thing that has ever happened to Tennessee is the location of a GM plant. The trash that was imported from Michigan was certainly detrimental to our state. I will certainly respond to whom I choose. I would have preferred Obama to keep his stimulus money and let Tennesseeans alone. The best thing the unions have done is shut down it GM operations in Tennessee. We aren't fooled. We know that the unions wanted it closed because Tennessee is a right to work state. We'll get over its closing and be a better state if it stays closed. We would be better served with it reopening under a non-union company.

They started with Toyota. I hope other Americans join me in boycotting union made products but that is choice they have to make. You really need to do some research. 12.3% of people in the U.S. belong to a union and 12.3% of the entire workforce is not enough to elect anyone. Besides that many union members did NOT vote for Obama, so your theory is shot. Besides that not all unions are the same. Their is a huge difference between the UAW, AFL-CIO and others unions when compared to the SEIU. It's a good "union" bad "union" thing. You need to look into ACORN and SEIU<(represents a lot of the tens of millions of Illegal alien invaders) http://www.purplepeoplebeaters.com/... . With your viewpoint you need to stay away from most restaurants, hotels, motels, healthcare workers, public service workers and service industries. So you need to forget about going on any vacations, NO healthcare for you either and no more going to get your license renewed or anything you need from the government and stay out of schools, universities and hospitals too. If you do go to these places you are supporting "unions"....There's more but you can do the research for yourself. Toyota caused it's own troubles by hidding the deadly defect for YEARS. Toyota has caused problems that have put innocent Americans in prisons, so you really need to get a grip and find out the truth..... Just remember this, the "unions" set the standard for wages and that set the pay standard for many other fields. The "unions" were the backbone of our country which provided a decent wage to purchase a home, car, college and more. The less "unions" the lower the standard of living gets. Do yourself a favor and find out which "unions" are the good ones and which are the bad ones..... And no I am not a union member nor have I ever been one but I do support the good "unions", my country and American owned companies....

FredUAW wrote: <quoted text>The difference between me and other ppl on the Union side is that I do not see this issue as a Union vs non-Union type of thing. The ppl of the extremes are guilty of such thoughts but not me. Although there were individuals that echoed that sentiment it was the leadership of those states that came out guns blazing against the Big-3/UAW. "The leadership of many of those southern states including W.Va were touting the free market as the cause of Big-3/UAW failures and conversely the reason for Japanese automakers success." Where the rubber hits the pavement Union and non-Union workers are very much alike. When the company screws up its always the working men and women that ultimately end up paying for it. I take NO joy in knowing that Toyota line workers are going to get scerwed as a result of this mess. As much as I enjoy the iorny of Toyota being in the "hot seat" for the first time, as well as shedding light on the obvious hypocrisy that the leadership of these states are demonstraighting. I hate the fact that ppl like yourself will be the fall guys. Your a better man than me Fred,I'd like to see every plant close and and could care less what happens to the kissa** workers who worked for less and never had the guts to fight for better wages ,worker rights or benefits. While these puppets blamed everything on the unions their upper management ,coo's,ceo's etc are all walking around with ironclad contracts drawn up by their lawyers to protect their jobs.I also think the japs and toyota people are a pos. When they had seatbelt problems they said in public the only problem was Americans were fat a lazy and needed to stop eating in their cars, pedal problems were first blamed on the US workers at cts.Even though cars are being recalled in every country but japland, the japland people are still trying to say it must be the US workers, they have accused the media of over reacting and have accused the government of being on a witch hurt to save Ford(# 1 in sales) and GM.What other country in the world can you not buy any of their products, publicly knock their workers and work ethics, accuse their media and government of being bias and unfair and continue to hold a market share of sales. Before all this happened if you were to go into a toyota dealer and look at cars they would come right out and say if want quality buy toyota not Ford or GM ,WELL GUESS WHAT?,LOOKS LIKE TOYOTA'S HAVE A FEW QUALITY PROBLEMS(ACCELERATION,STEERING ,OIL LEAKS,BRAKES) AND THEIR'S NO UNION TO BLAME IT ON.

But when the Japanese Big-3 screw up and they get called on it....save the Democratic-Socialist-Union-Nor thern Yankee-conspiracy BS. The notion that Toyota can do no wrong must go out the window! As a Union man I'm pissed that in the end all of those workers in the south are going to pay the price for something that wasn't their fault. Any time the working man gets screwed I don't like it. Even when they've been pited aginst the Labor Movement.

it's funny how toyota had escaped for years without recalls, and now its hitting them hard. I can't say i have ever been impressed with toyota quality, for the same price you can buy an american made car with more options. heck even my friend had his honda odyssey in the shop this week, he had broke motor mounts, trunk lid wouldn't stay up, and leaking back glass. no recall on any of that, that's what the 1700$ extended warranty was for. thanks cah www.outsourced911.com

Guys have you looked under your hood of your automobile lately and notice how many parts are made or assembled in other countries even the big 3 where do you think the electronic parts and most paint pigments and chips come from. Toyota is employing quite a few people here in the USA and even in their tragedy they are still keeping people employees(that is not laying off) that are families in this country still able to feed their families. Remember people these automobile are being made and assembled here on USA soil Ya need to worry about the jobs that are taken out of USA to other countries.
