Cocky & Greedy Japs!!! They are getting a bit bit too big for their Sushi Brains.... next thing they will introduce a new model and name it "Pearl" and some of the clueless US consumers will buy it without a blink. How sad.

I just love how you have no clue that Toyota's bought and sold in the US are AMERICAN made... but yet you call them JAP cars. Toyota has major plants in kentucky and jacksonville.

There's no more pride in buying American..there are plenty of American built cars that are as economical and reliable as the Japanese..
Perhaps things will change when the dollar changes to the Yen or the Euro..

How sad it is to see all the racial comments already on the price of a car. People sure are ignorant and show it.

I have owned a Nissan since 1974 and am very happy with their product. I find the workmanship and fuel efficiency of their vehicles to be better than cars produced by their American counter parts. The American auto industry fell behind in developing more fuel efficient and invested in building bigger and gas consuming vehicles. Over 65 percent of vehicles produced by the American auto industry are either SUV's or trucks!! The American consumer is to blame for the current rise in gas prices by buying these gas consuming vehicles - which get anywhere from 9-20 mpg - and still insist on bigger engines, more horsepower, heavier vehicles, and all the other stuff. The American auto industry had the window of opportunity back in 1974 to complete with the foreign auto makers but closed the window, and is now paying for it.

When the American companies learn to make cars that can compete in quality, features, warranty, fuel efficiency, and safety then I'll switch back.

Until then I'll enjoy my Acura and Toyota.

(GM is off to a good start with the CTS and Malibu, Dodge is still selling HEMIs with the gas crunch on, and Ford still sucks)

I guess you could say that the US automakers got caught with their pants down. It only took them about 50 years to realize what fuel economy actually meant and all their fancy gas guzzling hogs are about to bite them in the butt. But again its not their fault completely. The gasoline addicted consumers kept the demand high until they could't afford to support their habit.

There is a big difference between built in America and assembled in America, when Ford closes down a plant if effects hundreds of small companies that make all the parts that make up an automobile..
