I spent bucks on my high capacity TIVO and a lifetime subscription about 4 years ago because COmcast used a coaxial cable that plugged directly into the unit making for easy and predictable use. We have been so happy...but then....
Comcast will no longer offer anything but the basic channels (some local, Spanish speaking, and public access crap) unless you use their lame "box" which as they told me "increases features". Yeh, it makes it so my beloved TIVO must be replaced by what the writers here are describing as a crap DVR...nice new "feature". What have they gained? Just change the taste of Coca-Cola again why don't ya.

I am switching to ATT. If I can't use my TIVO I won't reward Comcast with my patronage. I HATE COMCAST now and forever. They have rewarded over 20 years of me paying my monthly bill on time and in full without fail with this stupidity.

ok, here's what i just don't get. tivo existed before comcast dvr, right?! why didn't they just COPY tivo?! i mean... it's so unequivocally awesome. but instead of being like "hm, maybe we should do all this stuff that users can't stop raving about", they decide to do their own thing and make it 100 times worse?
strange.

Hey, wondering if you are going to try out AT&T U-verse ... I've heard pretty good things about it from friends who have it, although I guess it's not available everywhere?

Would be curious to know what you think if you give it a try...

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Aries

It won't be long before you start to feel bored today, unless you can distract yourself - you're switching from one activity to another. Ideally, you should keep yourself amused by doing something that's unusual or challenging, otherwise you'll be tempted to stir up trouble just to see what happens next! Even though you know that's a bad idea, you won't be able to resist, unless you've got something better to do with your time.
