Remember that store in Valley Stream NY? Where they had a vote on joining the union and the union lost? Well it is now in the papers that over the last six months that Target has fired 25 percent of the employees in trying to get rid of the pro union people before the NLRB orders a revote. Take a look at: http://targetfiling.blogspot.com/ for details.

Target gets rid of people constantly. Who knows if the NLRB will order another vote. The union needs realize that they lost and go on to their next campaign.

So i have worked at Target for 5 months now. I was recently promoted to the PFresh assistant, since my store is just now getting groceries! I was just wondering if there is a way i can log into ehr at home :) Help much appreciated! thank you :)

And nlb baby, work is work. It is your environment to shine! Relationships do not collaborate with work. This is a business and you should play on your own time.

Anyone thinking of passing the hat for a going away present for Executive VP and CFO Doug Scovanner? He will retire in March. Of course since 2007 he has been paid more than $36,000,000 in total compensation so perhaps he should be giving out the going away gifts.

With Scovanner gone next month Tarbutt will have lost 3 top level executives in 4 months. Chief Marketing Officer Michael Francis recently departed for J.C. Penney Co. and www.Target.com President Steve Eastman left to "pursue other opportunities" after a series of embarrassing problems with the newly revamped website.

With 3 execs leaving in a period of 4 months, it appears that Steihafel is having some difficulty attracting the loyalty of his team. Maybe that's because the environment in MN is NOT Fast Fun and Friendly anymore. But why should it be any different than the store environment? Steinhafel is going to run this company into the ground. It's really gone down the tubes since he took over. Morale stinks and all execs do is look for reasons to get rid of people

Steinhafel is lucky to be calling the shots when the economy is in tatters & people are forced to do whatever it takes to keep a terrible job.

As long as there are ways to make sure the reports come out 'green' & make it look like everything is working well, the ETLs at Target get their fat bonuses & they're all happy to help Steinhafel run Target into the ground.

Target is no better than Walmart anymore. At least Walmart doesn't pretend to care about their employees.

You're absolutely correct on all points. The atmosphere at the DC's stinks ! The standard operating practice in distribution after Fall season is a memo from corporate to all departments to begin culling the herd by corrective action and termination of anyone who has been with the company for too long and is at the max of their pay scale. This, plus the hiring of supervisors who have no experience whatsoever in the warehousing enviroment is a toxic mix. There is nothing fast, fun or friendly about Target. In fact, their motto ought to be finger them, fuck them and forget them because that is their true attitude about employees, whether it be in distribution or the retail end of the company.

Fire anyone you can making over minimum & hire 'grateful' poor people who won't whine about being used & spit out.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Taurus

Be careful if you're supposed to be saving money, because it's likely to fly through your fingers in no time at all today. You're open to all sorts of delicious impulses now, such as splashing out your hard- earned cash on little treats or big purchases. Indulgence is the key here, and you'll also want to push the boat out if you're going to a restaurant for a meal. You'll work your way through the menu, regardless of the cost.
