I just spent hours with Norton tech support chat and although we ran through many options to locate the cause of my problem, I have no resolution to the blue screen on my 1.5 year old PC running XP Pro [with 4gb ram]. I see others have had problems with 360 running XP too. I installed it on this laptop running Vista and have had NO problems whatsoever. So, as a warning, if you have XP be prepared for problems if you install Norton 360.
I will get on the phone in a few minutes with the computer manufacturer and hope I can pull the machine out of the crash! I notice there is a 60-day money-back guarantee on the side of the box: www.symantec.com/refunds for information. |

I have something similar. Just trying installing 360 ... got to the reboot phase ... Now I am screwed ... dead screen for normal boot ... all other boot options end up with a i01_initialization_failed blue screen error. Norton tech support said to call MS and complain about the OS...... help!!!!!!!!!!

I had similar problem with XP and 360 version 2. If you navigate through the Norton help menus and your subscription is active, Norton suggests you download version 3.(link available)
That seems to have resolved my blue screen problems. |

We spent our entire Christmas Day and the following day with several of your supervisors. Our computer worked fine before we installed Norton 360 and now it has completely crashed. They even put us on the phone with some engineer and he kept telling us it was our hard drive and not Symantec's problem. If that is true, why did our computer work fine before the download? |
