Census reveals Farmington has grown by 20 percent

And the area has lost 15 % of that due to the econony since census was completed.

I'm quit sure Farmington has a mexican population, why weren't they included in your article.

I agree with Ms.Nobis from the Chamber of Commerce thanks to President Obama's leadership and Millions of Dollars in Federal Stimulus Money San Juan County and Farmington have grown and diversified without depending on just the Natural Gas Industry. Few years back they claimed that gangs from SoCal were settling in Farmington?

If I remember correctly, the census does not include hispanic/latino as a race and Mexican is a nationality. So it is not racism on part of the daily times, it is how the census is taken. Hispanic/Latino is considered an ethnicity...race and ethnicity are two separate things. Even Arabs are counted as white under the census definition. Just thought I would remind people before this becomes a huge race debate. educate yourselves on the facts before you start condemning people.

actually there is a way to count yourself as hispanic/latino and then write in your race as mexican/hispanic/etc so there is no excuse
