And what would you do with it if you got the water rights? Does NAPI use all the water it has had for years? How would you get the water to your land? Would the taxpayers then have to pay for pipelines for you to get your water? Would your land actually be able to grow anything even if it had water? If the NN is a 3rd world country as you say, it is because of your leadership or lack thereof. No one has ever stopped you from drilling wells for water have they? No one has ever stopped you from bringing electricity to your home if you wanted to pay for it just like everyone else does if they live in the country. You have to help yourself, the world doesn't owe anyone anything. It is what you work for that you will have. People need to quit thinking they are owed something because of something that happened decades and centuries ago. You are what you make of yourself. People that have farmed and irrigated land for decades should not lose their water for someone that maybe, someday, if they ever get some ambition and their government decides to let them, and they get some more money from the government will maybe try and plant a few plants or get a cow or two. Farmers are what are feeding us and frankly, there aren't a whole lot of them left around. Look how few fruit orchards remain here when their used to be hundreds.
They are going to sell the water rights to california and other state for money. So they really don't need the water that bad if they are going to sell it, if they get it. Typicall navajos they want everything handed to them. They get tribal clothing that we pay for, they get government checks that we pay for food stamps, and wic. Even though they have there own Navajo Wic they have to use the other wic also. So i say we given them enough.

At the end of the day it will come down to a fight, a war. When is the last time Navajos won a war? All the documents, lawyers and greed will not show up to close the head-gates of those that have been using water for generations. Are all you loud mouths going to be the ones that walk up to the head gates and shut them down? Do you want to come to my ditch bank and shut down my head gate? Talk is cheap. History lessons are over, I'm still irrigating, my children's great grandchildren will be irrigation, until the day someone gets that headgate shut down! My "pelotas" say it won't happen. You think Joe Sho Charley wants to git er done and shut down that headgate, I think not. Till then, send me a new shovel. I don't want to fight, do you? This isn't just another Central Consoidated District song and dance. This little war will not be for the non-dedicated faint of heart. When you feel real macho, march right on over and shut down my headgate, yup, it's just that simple. I don't get paid to educate you or teach you manners, but I will if you want.

don't come down entirely on the 'white-man' considering if not for HIS pioneering approach to establishing American Society, "we", i.e. American Indians would ALL be living under an extended Mexico Border-Land and most of the SouthWest Region (if not ALL) would be in proverty. Most American Indians would be then considering "ALIENs" trying to get into Canada OR the United States near the Mississippi River.

"Sea to shining sea"

But their POLITICS today SUCK entirely though - the Threshold Bar gets raised every-time when American Indian Tribes use their given US Government authority to use Indian Sovereignty.

YOU NEED to get out of Fort Defiance (Navajo Reservation Boundaries) and get a REAL life, i.e. work, home, security, etc.) then to sit "safely" within the boundaries.

You strike me as somebody who TAKES AND TAKES from the existence of Navajo Tribe, but turns around and espouses hate and racial Divide. You take advantage of no property taxes, your take advantage of 'other' services available - but not necessarily use them each time but they are there. I would be surprised to hear if any dependent use the Federal Health Care services available, OR you don't pay State taxes as you live and work on the Reservation.

Certainly any dependents are eligible to pay in-State tuition College across the 3-border State lines.

[QUOTE who.[/QUOTE]

You remind of Barrack Obama! This is somebody with parents who took advantage of the American System, fanned the flames of division along the way, raised a 'son' as a Prince, who in turn took advantage of the American system, i.e. Affirmative Action, took on divisive values and became a "President" who took WOrld Tour trips and talks really bad stuff against the United States and throws and handles US Alliances with carelessly.

get out of Navajo and get a real life.

You have no credibility as long as YOUR espousing 90% views against Navajo Tribal interests and affairs while YOUR 'safely' tugged away within the boundaries of the Navajo Tribe.

Why dont you "give us some crumbs...."?

Pioneering approach to what is good or bad for the AMERICAN INDIAN?
Every time I get to go "home" and visit the other "NAtivez" , I don't see much of WHITE America there, except for TV and the Automobile. Yep, life is at a stand still, I guess.
My piont is, that IF, the WHITE politians of this country , would ALLOW the AMERICAN INDIAN to progress like the rest of America has, then WHY don't YOU and YOUR kind push CONGRESS to open for business's on the REZ..
Now, THINK????? WHAT IS "TRUST LAND"??? Think about it and what it doesn't do for AMERICAN Indians.
As for the pioneering bit, Ya, I think PROSTITUTION, PORNOGRAPHY, RACKETEERING, TRAFFIKING and DRUG manufacturing has done EVERYBODY some good, ya think??
to name a few flaws in the WHITE man/woman folkways and mores. Im talking about TODAYs problems, not 100 years ago. Dork....

Mister native from Glendale, like I said talk is cheap. I won't rant and rave. I am too musty irrigating. If you don't like it come right on up and shut my heat gate. Might as well die for something you believe in than live for nothing. Come on up bro, turn off my head gate. It's that simple. Anything else is pure toola beeha. I don't spell so good in Navajo.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Capricorn

Your feelings are running high under this Lunar Eclipse and it won't take much to make you feel as though you've reached a crisis. This is especially likely if you've been worrying about something, and you now realize that you can't continue to brush it under the carpet for much longer. Those secretly working against you may show their true colors. It's a relief to know that you have take action, but it also feels scary and you may not even know where to begin. Don't be afraid to ask someone you trust and respect for their help.
