It's really sad how the economy has put stress on so many people. It's a shame some people feel the need to be so violent.

My prayers for the families involved.

Obviously pushed over the edge. What a tragedy for his family. Execs at companies can be so heartless when destroying a family's life cycle. I wonder if there had been problems brewing that led to his discharge or was it just a random layoff? So many companies think they have no responsibility towards an employee after the pink slip. They just let them flounder. But certainly not worth giving up your life for.

More people should adopt the model my boss did.
He had to layoff 4 staff in our office due to the economy, but instead of doing that he slashed everyone's salary across the board to meet the deficit. Everyone thought that was a decent and fair proposal.

Unfortunatly that doesn't always solve the problem. I know several people whose employers took that route. Eventually there were lay offs within months of the pay cuts.
Tell me when this thread is updated!
