PLEASE BRING THE CHILI BRICK BACK!!!!!!!!!!
( OR POST RECIPIE) |
|
|
AOL |
You ruined my mothers famous handed down chili
when you stopped making the brick ! |
|
I, personally, am willing to say at this point, you can jack up the price to 10 times what it was, but I would pay it.... just to get my chili recipe back. I have completely given up making chili since RB Rice Chili Brick went off the market.

Bryon, Where is this SAVE-A-LOT store where you found the chili brick????????

My family continually asks for chili mac but it is impossible without the Rices chili brick we have used for years! I have tried other recipes but the Rices has been used in our recipes for many years and nothing else tastes like it. Raise the price but please bring it back. I never saw it advertised but have recommended it to many friends and now we all miss it.

I have gotten so many raves about my chili and chili cheese dip but since I haven't had RB Rices chili brick I just can't make a good chili. I've tried other bricks but they are terrible. Please bring it back. It's the only brick I ever used.

I agree with everybody here. There are other chili bricks on the market but none of them came close to RB Rice's.
Now last night my wife did make some chili that was reasonably close. What I suggested to her was to take some Bush's chili beans, drain the water off, and mash them up to the consistency of mashed potatoes. Then add that mix to the chili. It worked fairly well. I'm going to have to experiment more with it. The chili now has the same body as before but not quite the taste. Next time I might add some finely ground beef, a smidgen of beef fat, and some chili powder to the mix. |

I have tried all the substitutes possible and nothing compares to Rice's Chili Brick.. What's the problem??? Why would a company stop making something that obviously sells and is the best???!!! Can the bring it back please....
|
|
We are so missing the Rice's Chili Brick...again it was my mom's recipe that she gave me... It makes wonderful chili. Just can't find another to compare... Tried a lot. Edmond's is like dog food... Why didn't they just keep making Rice's? Managed to find a very, very close substitute called Field's Chili also in a log... Now Dierberg's no longer carries...and can't find a supplier.... Help!

was it rices? |

I heartly agree as do my sons that it isn't chili without Rice's Chili brick. PLEASE, please bring it back. I had tried to duplicate my mom's chili recipe and without the Rice's chili brick it just isn't possible. I used to have to go back home to Missouri to get it and then would bring it home frozen in a cooler until my next trip and now we are so disappointed with cooler weather coming on and no Rice's Chili to make our chili so as far as my sons are concerned you can just forget it! 5307

we want our chili brick back. My mom wants it my dad wants it my husband wants it. So do my sister and her two boys and their families. My Brother and his family. and so on. We have searched for it we have tried other recipes we miss good chili. This is a
vote yes from about 35 people. |
|
One thing I forgot to add here. I e-mailed the company and asked for the list of ingredients. I pointed out to them that I did not want the reciepe, just the ingredients and I would only use it for my own personal use.
They refused... They said their products "are of a propriatary nature" and they do not give out lists of ingredients. They sent me coupons by snail mail instead. I threw them away. If they can't make my favorite chili brick because there was not enough money it it for them then I will not buy their other stuff. |
