It was an "unwritten rule" you had to be at least 40 to work there. It seems to be opposite at other companies these days. I think if you're in the government sector, if you're 40-60, you've got it made. If you're 25-35, they don't want you there.

Was told in the interview one thing and then when hired it was a different story. A 40 hr wk job as promised turned out to be 70+ M-F work week turned out to be every other Sat. Then every Sat. Sorry can't give you 2 days off in a row. Sun & Tues (days off) BUT THE ICING ON THE CAKE WAS....Reported to work at 10:00am (hrs 10-7) and left the following morning at 2:00 a.m. So I agree, don't whine Mr. Employer because you cannot get good people, when you think you can get away with the above because so many people are hurting. Welcome to the real world! Not everyone has a M-F 9-5 job. Some people have to work weekends & mandatory overtime. Oh & there is no law stating that your days off must be consecutive. I'm sorry you have such a crappy employer, but so do a lot of other people. The only thing you can do is suck it up & deal with it until something better comes along.
