Elton John to Larry King: I don't have a computer or a mobile phone

Thank you Elton John for EVERYTHING you do and represent. As a person living with HIV testing positive 9/27/1988, living with bipolar II (the sequel), suicide attempt survivor and in recovery from addictions to drugs, alcohol and cigarettes, I'm inspired to keep up the fight, passion and work for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender peers. Am focused on LGBT suicide prevention, affirming behavioral health recovery services, wellness, nondiscrimination and hate crime legislation in global peace and tolerance.

It amazes me that LGBT Americans are excluded from the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention, Surgeon Generals' Mental Health and President's New Freedom Mental Health Commission reports to name a few; planning documents from the Bush AND Clinton Administrations. LGBT discrimination is republican, democrat, left and right.

On a lighter note Elton, my friends say you need to know you look like me. Everywhere I go I get "you look like Elton John or Drew Carey, Truman Capote and the Pillsbury Doughboy." My question is, has anyone said "you look like Mark Davis from Queen Village Philadelphia?"

Had close calls meeting at the dedication of Elton Way at the William Way LGBT Center, concerts and fund raisers in Philly. Even Martina thinks so and you need to know. Met her at Equality Forum while working the LGBT police liaison table next to her signing balls for fans. Of course had to prompt her response, but it was affirming.

Enough about me, the real purpose was to thank and beg you to tell folks you look like Mark Davis. Maybe we can have a photo op sometime?

Whoops, am a homo computer virgin. Thought I was sending this to CNN.

Well, in order to get a first homo computer and cell phone, had to toss the mimeograph and morris code machines and cancel the contract with pony express.

Fought tooth-fairy and nail-polish not to get hooked via sober space cadets and wireless cords to the world, but now am addicted to my homo machine named Adello. And don't use cello model much, only when traveling so I TOTALLY understand Elton's non-usage. But he has the V-team (phone company beginning in V) follow him anyway so he's more connected to sober wireless than he thinks. He just has others carry and relay.

So now that I've figured out this is Topix, it was a great place to draft the Elton plea and post it later on CNN. But if you can also relay the message for me, I'd appreciate it done by fax. Sorry, it's hard to give up the old-fashioned ways.
