You are correct in that aspect. I am not with YTB though I am with TraVerus and in order to call a vendor you have to go through the certification training first.
Check TraVerus out for yourself we are a 26 year old Brick and Mortar Company.

"YTB has some of the best training" ....Uh, simply, I beg to differ..I work at a major cruise line and we all say amongst ourselves,(off the record of course) that YTB agents (as a whole) are just about the worst travel agents in reference to knowing how to book and handle their bookings from beginning to the sail date. For the most part the agents are very nice, but clueless..it's as if the YTB training consists of merely showing up for a meeting, and being told they are now travel agents and not to worry about anything, just call the cruise lines and "they" will explain everything...When you get a YTB agent on the line, we know to just take a deep breath, and it is during those YTB calls that we really can appreciate that patience is indeed a virtue!YTB agents are completely ignorant of the process. I mean we literally have to "train" them during every call, ourselves. It is extremely exasperating. So, this is why I must "strongly" disagree with your statement giving kudos to YTB training. It appears to be a joke.

I just watched a video on youtube about YTB that was really good. It really just calls it like it is. It simply states that YTB is a network marketing company. It also makes a very good point that you can get a travel website through various host agent companies for free, and get a high percentage on your sales (80-90%)

Note: YTB just disclosed that over 87% of the company profits came from recruiting and training. and that only 11% came from the actual selling of travel. That pretty much sums up the business of MLM and Network Marketing. It is what it is.

Here is the link for that youtube video: http://youtube.com/watch...

Hello Michael,
I just want you to take a look at this video for TraVerus www.thedreamteam.ws

Why in the world would anyone join YTB for 500 when they could get more for 169 that does not make sense.

$13 million was just the beginning.

As the word gets out to the entire
world-wide Networkmarketing industry,
of the low esteem RCCI has for the
50 year old Amercian business model,
now estimated at employing 50 million folks.

The actual loses will evently total hundreds of millions, maybe more.

Kristy your comments are just to much. you make great money! what a joke. 5k in commissions! for 8 months of work. laughable. I make that in bonuses in a month selling pharmaceuticals. YTB is not sales its recruiting. Most of the company's revenue comes from recruiting desperate individuals who think they can get rich quick. and a tightly knit team of 135000 reps. OK! give me a break. your 4 year degree means nothing especially if its converts to 5k every 8 months. YTB reps wake up and get a job that you don't have to pay to work. You can make a lot more doing anything else with your time. Next time you should be aware of your words cause the are just plain ignorant

Fake travel agent in YTB. That is really funny. I have been in YTB 8 months. I have earned well over 5k in commisions. I have earned my fams and discounts. All I have done for 8 months is train and sell travel. YTB has some of the best training. Kayla you just need to get on bord. Those of us in YTB make great money and 135,000 of x 10.(That is all our friends and family.) Do the math. You will never stop us. Many are in training. Many are very educated people. I have a 4 yr. degree. I am soon to be a master in CLIA. Beware to your words. We are a very big team. We are very close as a team. This team has a common goal. The goal is booking travel. The goal is to be number 1. We love our company YTB and each other. We love what we do! Try it, you may become the person you always wanted to be.

Companies like YTB and World Ventures employ entire staffs of CORPORATE BLOGGERS. These are PR people hired specifically to read blogs, and post public relations propaganda. Sometimes they'll create fake blogs. I did some research on these blogs, and many of them are actually owned by World Ventures.

They create fake discussion forums and blogs where people ask: "Is World Ventures Dreamtrips a scam?" "I think it might be a scam." The initial posting is short, contains no details prompting the question, no evidence whatsoever that they truly believe it's a scam. This is followed by a barrage of well-written PR responses from people who refrain from using swear words, written in perfect English, with perfect grammar and punctuation. As we all know, real bloggers don't spellcheck. There's no need to, you don't have an editor in a suit and tie looking over your shoulder in an air-conditioned office in Dallas.

If you do a Google search on "World Ventures," the company has used Search Engine Optimization to litter the results with their blogs and discussion forums praising the company.

EVERY organization, I don't care what they do, has faults. GM, Greenpeace, BMW, Apple, Microsoft. So what if Apple makes kickass iPods, their still not perfect. If you Googled long enough, you'd find all the fault of Apple, and their good qualities outweigh their bad qualities.

World Ventures has little or no reporting as to their bad side. Their PR and Search Engine Optimization regime has quashed any reports of their faults. This smacks of dishonesty. It's suspicious to hear an infomercial about something with no downsides. One always thinks, "What's the catch?" There is always a catch when something sounds too good to be true.

Ultimately there is no such thing as a free lunch. When somebody sells you something, it's because they want something in return. In life, you have to give to get. Otherwise it's stealing. World Ventures wouldn't be the multi-million dollar company it is without getting a lot of money from a lot of people.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Virgo

You're feeling restless and need to introduce as much variety into your day as possible. However, you'll want this to be on your own terms, and you certainly won't like it if plans are changed without your consent or you feel you've lost control of the situation. Try to take everything in your stride, otherwise you'll end up feeling exhausted and frazzled.
