I was on the ship with this virus. Thankfully, I didn't get it. The ship was a mess! Bleach every where. The odor was horrible, I didn't want to breath! I wrote them a letter complaining. I wonder if they'll respond.

I just got back form the April13th cruise aboard the zenith, its last sailing. Before they allowed us to board they did a great job at dissinfecting the ship. We werent allowed on the ship until 3pm so that they could do a proper cleaning. So i just want to say we hada wonderful time.

Sadly the Zenith was on its last cruise. I thoroughtly enjoyed my trip. Every effort was made by all that I saw (both passengers and crew) to ensure that precautions were taken to ensure a safe and healthful journey . There was a disinfection of the ship prior to our boarding for the trip.
This problem of a virus could happen to you at home just as easily. So keep sailing and enjoy yourself.(wash your hands)

When Noru Virus breaks out on a ship it is always on the news. They never report how many whole school districts and public buildingas are ashut down every day. The plain truth is this is much more common on land than it is at sea. Usually the virus is brought aboard by a person who has it and does not want to forgo their cruise because they are sick.

Nelson wrote: Hey Barbie Doll, the hygenic standards on board these vessels are instituted and closely monitored by the FDA, who conducts monthly suprise inspections on EVERY cruise ship with over 1000 passengers. Also, to work onboard ANY ship owned by a US company, you must legally be able to work in the United States and carry a valid passport. Additionally, background checks are conducted on all employees on a rolling order twice annually. A CDC study last year found that over 90% of norovirus cases were caused by improper hygiene by the guests on board the vessels. If you don't know what you speak of, perhaps you would better serve the community by keeping your mouth shut. <quoted text> Thank you Nelson for educating " Limo-BarbiE", I am a former cruise "refugee worker myself". Perhaps it would help Ms. Barbie to try working on a cruise ship if she would qualify.
