I really love my team and my store. I enjoy working for the company, and the management team I have. We are losing a great district manager to New York. We wish him all the luck in the world. He is a great servant leader to all he has worked with. I wished there was more positive role models like him. Michigan is is losing one it's best, but New York is fortunate to get him. If you have meet him being a customer or a associate you know what I mean! Adrian Rocks, and so will the rite aids he works with!

To have loved and lost is better than to never have loved at all.

Going thru it now. I ve been with them since 1995 (brooks rx before) and sorry for you blah blah blah. I hope they get what they pay for...NOTHING. Rite Aid is going down for a reason. They have no idea that if you treat your employees well it will pay you back in the end. We are all just a number to them. If you are a great employee you get treated just like the crappy employee. Oh wait that's not right The crappy employee still has their job...... Best of luck to you. For me I have to take the demotion and cut in pay because I'm 7 months pregnant and have no choice otherwise I'd be telling them where to go!!!!!!!!!!

THEY HAVE ALREADY CLOSED MORE THAN 117 stores. I heared that they will close stores till they reach their goal od 4500 stores.in addition, they are planning to get rid of the ass.manager position because they cost too much money. They wanted to keep only the store manager and the shifts

just a question guys....do you think that eliminating the asst. mgr position is their goal...i don't see where there is enough money with that..i think like in the past...they will cut out the over time for the store managers also...that will be a huge savings combined with the elimination of asst. mgr. and the fact of making everyone pay more of their benefits.

If you don't mind I have a question....how many unionized people are being let go? Here in Lancaster we are in a fight to unionize or not. Job security being the key point. Are any union stores closing?

I have my meeting in the up coming week. I've heard a lot of things. Depending on the tier a RA store is in, they might possibly have 3 shifts and no assistant. My future is very limited with in this company. I will not accept a pay cut (again), nor will I be denoted to a cashier/shift. This has been a phase for year on the repetitive demoralization on the position and assistants. RA wants the extra 1% from employees but takes over 20% of pay by cutting OT and now they want to remove the position and cut more pay but keep the employee keeps the responsibilities. Based on what I do know, our full time cashier (40hrs) is getting dropped to 13 and the shifts are running the registers 75% of the time. Other part timers are going to average about 9 hours a week. 210 hours available for the store, we've been using 185 since December. I think this move is a preempted strike at fighting off bankruptcy, unless things changed RA has liens due in July. I am not sure what their fate is, but I got a good feeling what mine is. If I was a manager, I'd watch out I can see the ones who went to hourly being cut to 40 by winter.

Heard managers meeting with Reg VP was top secret. Got through the grapevine there are drastic changes coming in July. Managers have been cut to 45 hours per week and will be fired if caught in the store and not scheduled. Also, mandatory clock in and out and 30 minute lunch breaks. Assistant manager position will not exist any longer. Staffing hours will be cut drastically. Cannot find out anything else about the meeting. Looks like this is the end though. Anyone else have details about this meeting? Looks like they would just be honest and upfront and tell everyone employed what is going on.

Am losing my asst. this week. Can't stay in my store because it's union, so she is being transferred to another store. Will find out today if there is a pay cut associated with it. Did all managers in every store go to hourly? Also, it seems like all the managers in my area are making the same rate of pay. Anyone else experience this? Why would we all make the same amount? And how does making all the managers hourly save the company any money? I believe that the next step will be to eliminate OT completely. That means a 20% pay cut to all managers. And, since we are hourly now, there will nothing we can do about it.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Pisces

Having to bow down to convention or limitations is enough to make you want to scream right now, and you'll do your utmost to rebel in any way you can. Be careful about this because you could easily get on the wrong side of someone who has power or authority over you. It feels as though you're battling with forces that want to keep you under control, and you don't like it one bit.
