Thank you for saying what hundreds of thousands of other people are thinking too!
The shareholder with an opinion otherwise must be in bed with them.

Where are all the PPL stock holders who said it's good that PPL raise its rates on consumers to pay for the CEO's bonus? I know your out there.

Sometimes I think that Ken Lay of Enron fame didn't die. He skipped with all the money and conned the insurance company out of millions more.

I know your out there. People are now in a "numbing phase" with respect to CEOs and government ripping them off. They see no sense in commenting any further since nothing gets done. People need to pay more for electricity while this joker gets millions. What goes around, comes around. The day of reckoning may be closer than we realize.

I also sometimes wonder whether or not people making 7 figures have people who make them look bad sort of up and disappear. But that's just paranoid, right?

''On balance, it is very heavily weighted to be based on performance,'' Miller said about his compensation.
"On balance, scumbags like me make out very well in business. We pay for our politicians, they support our crimes. What is good for Jim Miller is good for PPL, and who gives a fig about the consumer?" Miller stated.

"The concerns about pay were not unanimous. One shareholder told Miller he earned his compensation."
He was obviously the plant.

Lenny Brisco wrote: Now lower the rates!!! It's not happening. We are paying 9 to 10 cents a kWh for electricity. In neighboring states they pay beween 12 and 16 cents a kWh. In 2010 and 2011 we will all get a taste of whats to come with our rates. Keep in mind-the only thing they keep saying is that the 30% increase happens in 2010. What most people dont pick up on is that the gloves are off and your rates are going to continue to rise into the future. Dont be suprised if you see your electricity bill double in the next 5 years. That is the reality.

Attract and retain???????
I think there are a lot of potential well rounded people able to move into his position at a fraction of the cost. Give me a break I struggle to make ends meet and these guys can live the rest of their lives after one year of pay. They say I make to much. Something is seriously wrong in America. Years ago companies were happy making 4-6% profit. Now they want 18-20% why? They move to China and pay slave wages they make 18-20%. Truly sad how pathetic our society has become? Today 47000 Forty-seven thousand Americans fell off the unemployment payrolls without finding employment.
Oh yeah, when is the thirty percent rise in electric rates starting???

Why do these investors not remove PPL's compensation committee? It is their company, not the committees. Jim Miller sallery is hurting PPLs bottom line.

The Compensation Committee sets the CEO's salary. And the CEO sets the Compensation Committee's salary. The Compensation Committee gives the CEO a major raise and a rather sweet bonus. And the CEO gives the members of the Compensation Committee a major raise and a rather sweet bonus. It just an old fashion circle jerk.
