PNM files appeal over power plant proposal

The EPA is absolutely out of control. Until Mexico's emissions are under control, why are southern border states under the microscope? Does the air not flow into them from Mexico?

challenged? The plant is nowhere near that border - Utah, Colorado and Arizona, yes. They measure the crap that comes directly out of the plant and its contribution to bad air and health problems in an area already generating a tons of pollution from its other dirty industries.

This is no special "microscope." This is no out-of-control agency - in fact EPA is delaying implementation of other standards. This is old news - the problems were identified years ago. PNM was seeking another half-assed waiver from compliance standards based on laws established a generation ago. It was rejected. And PNM is hyping the the cost of repairs, stalling and trying to ultimately change the rules by lobbying.
