Good morning Barbara - enjoy your show much. I was trying to locate one of your interviews with Mayor Fenty - the person who mentioned it to me said it aired approximately on April 5th or April 12th, 2007, in which the Mayor was asked a question about the history African American cemetery in Georgetown - the Mt Zion Cemetery. I did not see it but heard you aired some footage of the Mayor's visit to the cemetery and his pledge to help to restore it. We are working to get some grants to assist in the restoration and to try to get the city and the National Parks Service to assist with the historic restoration and the footage might help us in our efforts. If you could point me in the right direction, I would sincerely appreciate it. Thanks much, Maurita

Greetings and Salutations Ms. Harrison My co-workers are debating on your nationality (Race). Can you help us out? Any information would be greatly appreciated. A lunch depends on the answer. PLEASE!

I like Barbara and Joe. They make a great morning news team. Someone asked about Barbara's race. She is African-American and we all know she could easily "pass". But what's important here is that Barbara is an American citizen and an accomplished news anchor in her own right!

I can't believe the station has kept this airhead as long as they have. You ever notice, if it is "BREAKING NEWS" Barbara has to dissappear. If it's not on the telepromptor she's lost. It's time for her to go out to pasture. How about more EUN YANG?

Please, please take Barbara Harrison off the morning news. I often switch to Fox because I can't take Barbara's babbling. She drives me nuts. I enjoy Eun Yang; Kimberly Suiters would be fine, too. But please put Barbara Harrison in an office and not in front of the camera. She's got to be costing you viewers.

I'm wondering the same thing ad John Miller--is Barbara Harrison off the air for good, on vacation, or personal leave? No one is talking, but not mentioning her speaks VOLUMES about how much they think of this woman who has given 1/2 of her life in service to NBC4 in DC.

Veteran News4 anchor Barbara Harrison is moving out of her familiar early-morning spot, but will continue to co-anchor the midday news and special segments for the NBC-owned station.

Harrison, who has been with WRC (Channel 4) for 28 years and recently signed a new multiyear contract, has teamed with Joe Krebs on the station's 5 to 7 a.m. newscast and brief local-news segments during "The Today Show." The duo have been co-anchors since 1994.

Eun Yang will take over Harrison's early-morning duties.
Harrison will continue with Krebs on News4's broadcast following "Today" at 11 a.m. and fill in as an anchor on other broadcasts. She'll also host a new series of special segments called "Barbara Harrison's Washington Connection," which will air on News4 throughout the year. The reports will focus on people and community organizations.
Harrison's weekly "Wednesday's Child" segments, which feature children who are available for adoption, will also continue.
News4 remains the dominant news station in Washington. During November, it led among all Washington area stations during every hour of head-to-head news competition, with the exception of the 5 to 6 a.m. newscast, in which it was second to WTTG (Channel 5).

Thank God Barbara is gone. What a stumbling, fumbling mess. I can't understand how she's lasted so long in an industry where being able to speak and read clearly and error free is so important. Eun Yang, is 1000 times a better morning newsreader and much more professional.

I have been waiting for Barbara Harrison to return to the early morning news. I assumed she was taking a long vacation. I must be on automatic pilot at 5:30, because today I listened to what the anchors said. Kimberly Suiters "in for" Joe Krebs and Eun Yang, no "in for Barbara Harrison." From the posts above, I see that she is no longer anchoring the early morning segment. Was there an announcement? Is this a secret? In any case, I do miss Barbara Harrison in the morning. If she is gone, I hope she got a promotion and is enjoying sleeping a bit later. Joe and Barbara made a great team. Bring her back.

Taking Barbara off the early morning news is the last straw. I watched because I love the Barbara/Joe teamwork even though the news writing was terrible and it is always a rehash. Who is writing the copy at 4? Sometimes it is hard to understand what they are TRYING to say. They might as well read it straight from the Wash Post as it is the exact same content. I am switching to FOX.

Thanks but no thanks. The Joe and Barbara team was why I watched. I will now feel free to watch other channels in the morning.
