when will these guys quit whining about how hard their job is! i am a retired airline employee and i worked with flight crews all the time..they choose to commute from point a to point b rather than live in the city where they are based..it has nothing to do with the ciost of living..then they complain about how tired they are..the pilots of that northwest plane just came from a 19 hour layover (according to reports), so why should they be tire? the point of a layover is to sleep and rest for the next flight..when outbound flights are delayed because of weather or some other issue Othere than mainteance) the crews are advised and the layover time at their hotel is extended..when they accept a pilots position they are told how much money they will make per year and not lied to..yes, statring salries are lower and regional pilots make less money, but the "poor pilots" routine is just not so....
