These are not lost jobs, they are one of the sacrifices Obama is asking us to make.

Another one bites the dust Jodi. But we can't understand why companies are leaving CT. More unemployment claims. Maybe someday the state will try working with companies, rather than taxing them to death.

Blaming Obama and Jodi Rell is just missing the point. The economy is just lousy right now, that's why people are getting laid off and companies are closing.

I believe they are required to pay at least 60 days severance because they failed to follow the federal WARN act.

Yeah, isn't it funny when politicans claim all the credit when the numbers go the other way. Also funny, how many companies consolidate operations to other states, but no companies consolidate operations to within CT.

When one consolidates elsewhere, it isn't the national economy.

It's even funnier that as times toughen our elected officials (State & Town)act like deer in the headlights.

They refuse to make the tough decisions that need to be made and instead look to raise taxes. You can't convince them that business and individuals are leaving the State for more tax friendly States

The Democrats should be happy. There will be less pollution from a factory. Less electricity will be used. There will be fewer women making less money than men in the same building. Fewer minorities will writhe in anger at the sight of whites. It's a good thing.
