I guess you are indeed very, very lucky. How about those 300 plus complaints filed with the BBB here in Myrtle Beach. Five years ago, I was ripped off for $500 and lied to over and over. I filed a complaint with the BBB, Greg Hembree (a total waste of time and effort), the SC Dept of Consumer Affairs as well as with Microsoft since they also loaded (and boasted ot it)$250 of pirated software on the laptop they sold me. How about the untold number of unsuspecting tourists who were swindled (but never filed a complaint with the BBB)? Seaside Computers and Robert Hussey have been laughing all the way to the bank for the last 5 years. What a disgrace. It is amazing that every time the topic of computer repair swindlers came up, Seaside Computers immediately entered into the conversation. All of the locals knew to avoid them, but Hembree never could muster up the effort to do anything. Thanks Microsoft. I hope these guys all end up jail (and that Hussey is at the head of the line).

Hussey has only owned the business for 1.5 years I think he has gotten screwed worse then anyone. The guy isnt a shining gem but he isnt a killer either and the media sure seems to treat him like one.

same company, same employees, same money pot, same lawyer. the only difference is that 1.5 years ago, they switched the name plate on the door. does anyone really think that some guy (Robert Hussey) would decide to actually buy this company? I believe if and when the trial starts, we will see that Mr. Hussey has been a part of Seaside Computers since day-1. When the hat got too tight a few years ago, they just put it on another head to relieve the pressure. I talked with Robert Hussey a year ago and sent him a letter outlining my issues as he asked me to do. He stated he would respond to my letter but I never heard anything more. Also, their idea of a "settlement" to all of us who had issues and had filed complaints was to offer us the "opportunity" to purchase anything (including "server" and repair) at a 10% discount for a period of one week. Wow, what a bargin - I had to pass on that as I'm sure everyone else did. It was like saying, if you come back to my store, I'll still hit you in the head, but this time, I'll use a smaller board.

Who in their right mind would buy a company with a bad reputation? Why not just start a new one? Because he was already involved. They rip people off and too many of their customers have been frustrated that in this day and age 2 businesses can just sit there and continue to operate while ripping off people. OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!!! I want to know why it's taken this long. I am sure other people want to know. if you aren't interested - don't read the article. There is plenty in the paper that I am not the least bit interested in. THE WHOLE SPORTS SECTION FOR INSTANCE. Why does it have higher placement that the business section? I couldn't give 2 toots. Some people in this area are interested in these swindlers.

A detective in Conway has been helping people with this. Dale Long, very nice person. I laid away a computer in North Myrtle Beach(seaside computers) in 2004, when I finally paid it off, I went to the store to pick it up, and the store was closed up. Gone. So I went to one of the stores in Myrtle Beach. I was assured they would get back to me. Of course they never did. I went to file against them in Magistrate court, was informed they had a lawyer, who was trying to correct Seaside computers image and to contact him. I did so and he told me to send in all my records. I sent in all my receipts and waited and waited. I sent in the copies of the receipts, and paid extra to get a copy of when they were delivered to the lawyer. Called Lawyer with copy in hand. Had signature of his secretary on the copy. they denied receiving anything. Finally I took them to magistrate court, here in Myrtle Beach, of course I won my case. They promised to deliver a new computer, but I had been burnt by Seaside once, and I instructed the lawyer to deliver the computer in the box to Magistrate court and I had a computer expert from Conway check it out before I would accept it. Take them to court, it is the only way you will get any justice. I had one salesman, tell me his wife had just had a new baby boy and also he was over a program at his church, teaching skate boarding to a group of boys, he said he just did not have time to take away from his Church Work, he promised to get to me the following day, with either a new computer or my money back. Of course he never got back to me. A complete Con Artist. Do not waste time with their or their lawyers false promises. Take them to court. S. Piles 73 year old senior citizen.

Robert Hussey and Johnathon Morris were the "general managers for seaside computers since its opening. Mark White owned the company until the 2 general managers Robert Hussey and Johnathon Morris "bought it" Why on earth would 2 managers buy a company with over 100 complaints and over 36 court cases... and how did 2 managers get enough money to buy a company with 8 stores, which was trying to be sold at one point for like 3million? Sounds alittle fishy to me. Looks like there may be some more problems for the "owners of seaside computers and computer inferno"

three crooks
|
Unfortunately, during the last 5 years, I have had numerous telephone conversatioins with both Mark White and Robert Hussey. Same script and same results - lots of promises and lots of lies. I really believe that all of these crooks came here together and developed a plan to basically take over (very apparent by looking in the yellow pages where Seaside Computers comprises 95% of the computer related ads). They found a gold mine in this area an unsupecting community, lots of tourists and a county which allowed them to flourish despite hundreds and hundreds of complaints over a period of 5-plus years. I really thought that when Kathleen Dayton published that first article in the Sun News 5 years ago, they would pack up and leave the area. However, somehow they knew they could stay and continue their lies and deceptions as our elected officials turned the other way. Finally, it is time to face the truth. I only hope that all this doesn't end with a slap on the wrist (if it ever gets that far).
