The price was very high, but I considered it a good deal because they offered a "lifetime guarantee". Keeping my car for a long time, the muffler wore out and I needed to have it replaced. I went to a Midas dealer to replace the muffler. I found the "service" charge for them to do so would have cost more than the entire cost of a new installed muffler at other muffler dealers. In these hard economic times, I suggest this outfit be avoided. Ronald

One silver lining in this crisis may be that people finally learn to price shop. The pricing at several chains such Midas, Goodyear, NTB, etc, are exorbitant.
BBB Maynard, MA	Reply » \| Report Abuse \| Judge it! \| #4 Nov 9, 2008 I need a copy of the Midas lifetime guarantee on mufflers that they issued in roughly the late 80s or early 90s time period. That version of their guarantee promised both free parts and free labor on replacement mufflers and it did not require you to allow Midas to repair anything else they found wrong in your exhaust system.
