That's ridiculous. You've clearly never done hiring.

There is no set standard to become a Crew Trainer. It's possible to have someone hired from the streets as a Crew Trainer.

The requirement to be a crew trainer is work there at least 8 MONTHS. I asked my crew trainer manager bout becoming a crew trainer. My manager stated that once I talk to the orientation person you may be able to receive crew trainer booklet. I am receiving my booklet this thanksgiving.

It really varies by franchisee. I have promoted employees to crew trainers in as little as 60-90 days. 8 months seems a tad long.

Ahaha! You can't apply to be a Crew Trainer; you need to be asked by a Manager.
The Manager is approachable. If you go to them expressing your interest in becoming a Crew Trainer, they will likely consider your training, talents and potential and decide if you're a good candidate. It's always a good idea to express interest in advancing in your career/job to your Manager.

Once again a fool, Unknown27, speaks.

The CORRECT, FACTUAL answer is "YES"

Any good management team will appreciate the tenacity of someone who is willing to step and to do what it takes to further their interests. We do NOT want mindless sheep working for us, meekly waiting for management to approach them...

I have been working for mcdonalds for 6months about and I am very decent eorker to keep everything organized_clean_COMMUNICATION is key. If you follow all procedures as taught by previous crew trainer or any above authority correctly there should be no worry about your work. Selfconfidence is another key to your work enviroment. Positivity with a smile on your face. Never pull a fixed routine at work. Say if you do grill one day ask hey boss is it possible to this and that? Your boss eill assign you to a rotating process to experience most position with in your reach of course. So on my part I wanted a higher standard for myself. So I spoke to my store manager to promote me to a higher position above crew she said first let me see your work at F.O.R I said I would proudly to. I passed with flying colors now im a crew trainer out of a small crew but anyhow we still higher people everyday. To all those crew a eord of advice dont argue or fuss over what authority asks u to do things if you treat everyone nicely and eith respect they eill remember you and say oh yeah hes a great worker...promotion. So crew be aware listen and follow before you lead thank you.

I have been working at this store for about a year now and I still love working here. I love my coworkers and my managers, it's like were a big family. Just like every family we have our faults. Some of the stuff my managers do just piss us crew members off like not handing out breaks even if some of us work 8 to 10 hour days. But anyway I am trying to become a crew trainer but its taking forever because need my gm to do my soc's with me so I can do them with someone else but he has other problem to deal about before me or anyone else. My solution is just be pacient and good things will come your way. And for the people who thinks working at McDonald's sucks I got news for you. IT DOES NOT. I love working here and I love the crew members here as well, so if you don't like the job don't work there then. Well thats all I wrote folks. Bye and have a nice day.

Apparently the tention between you all is a little more. I have read most comments and almost ALL of you are misunderstanding the meaning to a crew trainer. A Crew trainer in my department is expected to go above and beyond all other crew members, including having initiative, wanting to get things done quickly and the correct way, correcting procedures when needed, and training new hires. I see some of you are 16 + 17 you have no clue whats going on. I am 35 years old and a second assistant at my store. I have 9 crew trainers. My store makes 2.7 Million a year in profits. Our food cost is 27%. Our store has 69 employees. That puts alot on my trainers. Honestly I will not put a minor into crew training unless i can see that they are ready for it. No one in our store thats a minor is a manager. Period. The Store Manager is not trying to be mean to the kids but really if a senior citizen comes in they will not want to speak to a minor. Hopefully I have made appaarent what a crew trainer needs to be and mabey a support manager (red shirt) Plus School kids can't close therefor cannot be a shift manager. Labor laws.

Hi, after reading a lot of the posts on here I am appalled at the attitude of some of you. Someone is asking for help yet all it seems to be is a bitch at each other's understanding of requirements.

If you would like to be a crew trainer, push yourself, make yourself noticed (without being big headed), and strive to be the best.

Here in the uk we have to complete the following to be a crew trainer-
-all 14 initial SOCs
-at least one additional SOC
-all unit tests completed and verified
-DPSC SOC
-Production Control SOC
-Crew trainer test completed and verified
-Crew trainer verification passed at a minimum of 80%
- Food and restaurant safety module completed via online learning.

Its not just paperwork tho, yes you may have all of the paperwork that is necessary but it is also your attitude and approach that matters. Can you corrective coach, can you be a teacher, are you a good role model.

Good luck.

Hi!! Im a crew trainer at my local mc donalds. Ive worked there for almost a year and if took me...7?months to be one. In order for us to get promoted we are either asked by tue store manager or her assistants. They then had me watch every single training video mc donalds had to offer. After that i took a test and bam! I got promoted. Afer that its basically a tast track to management. I work from 3-11 and when some of the managers leave and we are left with the front manager counting his drawers and our produxtion manager is on line i get left incharge of the front. Some stores give it to those who feel like they are management material and is testing them out. Every store is different and i even recommend talking to your shift manater and see about learning and getting comfortable with what your not used to doing and theb talk tobthe store or general manager about the position. I thought about it in this way when i asked for a service management job..."im alreafy not one sooo the worst they can say is no. They arent going to fire me for wantng to better my self." most of the time the store and general managers are waitibg for someone to talk to them:) good luck!!

If you want the position badly, I hope you get it. Good luck.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Sagittarius

You're feeling ultra optimistic today, which is great for summoning up the necessary energy to do what has to be done. But don't let it go to your head and convince you that you're capable of performing miracles. If you aren't behaving in this way you'll have to cope with someone who has a swollen head and thinks they're the cat's whiskers.
