Agreed ...and serving the same factory processed junk food. Sad when something so artificial becomes a way of life.

you forgot the rest of the story. How this industry with the employment of mostly illegal immigrants in 95% of these restaurants, and the hourly wages never kept up with the cost of living in the state of Ohio, makes most of these jobs not worth anyones time or effort. Reference Mike and Laura Tellich,...... who own several Mc Donalds franchises around northwest Columbus. Look carefully at their pay rates for their own employees and what they expect their employees to support themselves on. Fast food has failed its own people and those who depend on it for their own livelyhood

Fast food has failed its own people and those who depend on it for their own livelyhood If those who work in the fast food industry do not like the wages, they should take their abilities and skills to another job. How much should one who delivers food through a drive-thru window make. On a recent trip to Wendy's, I had to make three corrections while collecting my food. I said no ice and was handed a cup brimming with ice. I asked for my sandwich plain, and it was not plain. Finally, I had to ask several times for a pat of butter to go with my baked potato. How much should the idiots who can't process this order correctly the first time be paid? I think they deserve a pay cut.

How much should the idiots who can't process this order correctly the first time be paid? I think they deserve a pay cut. I agree that your order should have been made correctly the first time... And not to make excuses but there are people who can't handle making sandwiches. A few years ago I was a manager at one of those restaurants and had an employee who after several months still could not handle making sandwiches. I've had employees that for some reason would hear the customer say they want their sandwich plain, then proceed to put everything on it. We even had an employee who only put two chicken nuggets in the five piece container then hand it to the customer! My point is some people don't even have the skills to work fast food, so finding another job is nearly impossible. There are bad employees who really should not have the job or be paid the minimum & only scheduled a few hours a week. Then you have the good employees who work hard, take care of the customers & are dependable. They deserve to be paid much more than the average fast food employee. The dependable hard working employees are the ones that don't stick around long because they are smart enough to find a better job... One thing to remember when going through the drive-thru is that there is a timer that starts as soon as you pull up to the speaker. The employees are supposed to have each cars order taken & filled in under two minutes. So they are told to work as fast as possible, which leads to more mistakes. The employees & managers are penalized if they don't make there times. Have you ever gone to Wendy's & felt rushed? You can thank the corporate geniuses who came up with the drive thru timer for that. I'm not saying the customer should not be served quickly, they should get fast accurate service. The problem with the timers is that sometimes a customer does not know what they want or needs a minute to look at the menu, which is understandable. The problem is fast food restaurants focusing on the service time instead of order accuracy; it does nothing but create more mistakes & frustration for customers. Back on topic: Redesigning the restaurants is pointless. It's the food that needs to be "redesigned".

To me it isn't really about what they look like, it is about what they are serving. Now I am picky about if they look clean or not, but it is all about what they are serving. McDonald's and Wendy's don't serve Onion Rings so Go Rally's or Burger King's. Get your Fish Sandwich at McDonald or something at Wendy's and move on to Rally's for Onion Rings, of course, you can get them at Burger King's too..but I really like Rally's onion rings..

I"m surprised that Chipotle is being praised for its ambiance. I think it's torture to eat in one. The sounds are horrendous. All those hard surfaces and the terrible music they play. All the noisy people jabbering. It's a very unpleasant atmosphere.

Culver's is much better than Wendy's for just a bit more money. Chick-Fil-A is sooooo much better than the rest of the fast-food restaurants that we mostly go there. Chick-Fil-A food does not make you feel ill after you eat it. Most of the other fast-food places have a tendency to give you a tummy ache.

The loud music makes it nearly impossible to communicate what you want to the employees. When I was there a manager came out from the back & started yelling over the noise, telling the employees to work faster. Very unpleasant atmosphere & experience. The food was not very good either. I'll never eat at the Marysville location again.

Since most women don't cook anymore, the fast food industry is trying to make their seating areas look more like the old fashion obsolete family kitchen.

The only people who benefit from illegals working are the owners, who like having a docile, underpaid work force. I'm guessing that might include you, maybe ICE needs to pay you a visit?
