When did McDonalds charging for their condiments like hot mustard, BBQ Sauce and ranch when you don't order McNuggets? The store by my house wanted $0.30 for 1 sauce. Anyone else have that problem?

That's been standard procedure ever since McDonald's first started serving nuggets. Even if you want extra sauce to go with your nuggets you should be charged.

yeah, things are getting very lean in our store, it's getting to the point where when my store manager sees me handing out free sauce, she jumps down my throat right in front of the customer....it's embarassing.

Then don't hand out free sauce... What kind of second assistant are you?

At my store it's $0.17 per sauce and MOST people don't have a problem paying for sauce. Due to employees not following procedures prices were raised at my store for chicken nuggets (6Pc From $2.46 to $2.56, 10Pc from $3.75 to $3.85, etc.)
But as Unknown says it has been a standard procedure since nuggets where introduced. Your supposed to give 1 sauce for 6pc, 2 for 10 and 3 for 20.

Unknown27 seems like some kind of manager looking for a promotion or a cheap franchise owner. Sauce should always be considered as part of the meal you pay for, think if they withheld ketchup mustard BBQ from the burger until after you paid for it again because sauce is extra, your burrito came missing sour cream guacamole and salsa because sauce is extra. This is just about penny pinching and giving the customer a raw deal by charging for things that have always been part of a meal.

A burger comes with ketchup and mustard - that's part of the price. Nuggets are just nuggets. If you want sauce, pay for it.

It's one thing when someone says can i have an xtra sauce and then it's another thing when someone orders a 4pc nugget and wants 10 sauces, this is part of your food cost, if someone wants an xtra sauce i will give them 1 or 2 no charge but some people get outrageous about it and most likely won't even use it all just wastes it.

^ Agreed. I had someone ask for 15 packs of sweet and sour just for fries, so when I went to punch it in he thought it was so cheap and unfair.

That's fine. Anything from 30 to 50 cents is reasonable.

Nah, I'm good like this. Customers can't come on here and complain about being charged for cheap items, so I'll continue to respond and ensure I know how stupid they sound.

hate to break it you to guys, but mcdonalds is trying to make money. the more sauses you get, the less money they make. they are not trying to scam you, its simply a business they dont make as much money as you think. its a nickel and dime business, especially in this economy
