2. In one sense, I agree with you. I do not believe anybody is 'entitled' to dignity and respect so I suppose there is some equanimity in that. I believe respect must be earned, and dignity is not something any person can get from another. If you have it, nobody can really take it away from you. And if you don't, nobody can really bestow it upon you.
3. I'm not convinced that you are smart enough to be the arbiter to decide what anyone/everyone should or should not compromise on.
4. I would never set myself as the yardstick by which anyone should measure themselves. My standards are, by definition, my own. My friends and business associates have similarly high standards. You would be hard pressed to even come close to those. Again by definition, isn't "self worth" how you value your own worth? Isn't that what the "self" part of that term is about?
