"you spend an inordinate amount of time on your laptop"
You assume that all computers are at home or that this is the 1990's. The internet is everywhere. Mcdonalds, starbucks...heck even lowes
"drink girly drinks at Starbucks"
Half true. I drink coffee black. I don't go for the fat filled stuff. It's pretty damn strong. Try some sumatra.
"drive a Prious or electric car. Humor me.....am I close?"
A compact car but I get decent milage. There's no reason for me to get a hybrid since it runs and it wouldn't be cost effective.
Ft Wayne eh. Maybe Hoosers is your favorite film. Most of your economy there is governmental based. GM is government owned and nearly broke again, the university system and defense contractors.
I'd assume you work at a Do It Best or maybe a Menards now You don't see the depot type. For all I know you could be a okie from the Grapes of Wrath.
Sometimes it is funny to hear people make assumptions about different areas of the country. We make a fair amount of the guns in the country (springfield), healthcare (we have most of the specialists), train much of the military (west point) and pay much of the taxes for the country (especially NJ),
I haven't been called out too many times in my life but fair is fair. nedm - I owe you an apology. I dislike giving excuses or hearing them so I'll offer none.

It is nice to see that you have your defenders, in addition to those who pounce on you. While I disagree with many things you post, you do deserve the same respect that everyone else is entitled too.

To respond to some of the hits on me..,,Haven't been in Indiana too many years so I lay no claim to being a Hoosier. However, it was a good movie. I'm most certainly gainfully employed and have been since my early teens.

As to the PC world....I do indeed hate it but my feelings aren't related to how I manage people. There may be people I dislike or disagree with or don't share my morale values with, but in a work setting, they'll never know because I keep those things to myself. I am someone who doesn't believe that giving everyone a trophy for competing benefits that person. I believe that people need to experience failure, as well as competition. I believe that that is how people grow. and adapt to life's challenges.

Anyway ...nedm again, my apologies..

The people on this board who take nedm to task and toss those unnecessary and personal unbecoming remarks and personal attacks in his direction couldn't hold a candle to his intelligence level or his ability to advance coherent arguments against some of the lunacy thats posted here. So he doesn't work at Lowe's any longer. What's the point of that criticism? Can only current Lowe's employees offer their personal reflections on what's going on in Lowe's-land or the world in general and then suddenly that make their observations credible. People in glass houses ....
"People who throw dirt loses ground quickly." Chinese Proverb

Sometimes the really insecure people attack others to keep the attention away from them. Some folks taking them to task don't sound credible either. As my High School Teacher said, "It takes all kinds to make the world go round." It would be real dull if we all looked and thought the same. Differences of opinion are really good-it challenges us to use both sides of our brain and makes us defend our position with facts etc-Opinions are like armpits-we all have two and they both smell.
yeah ok

Sorry, I don't sign in under different names. There's much more people that view this sight then actually write on it.Most of the time when I go here it states 25-50 people are viewing the forum. Like it or not some people defend me.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Virgo

Keep a pinch of salt handy today because not everything you hear will be the gospel truth. Someone might have manipulated the facts to make them sound more acceptable, or they may have got carried away and forgotten to tell you something rather vital. Try to keep misunderstandings to a minimum by being as straightforward and honest as possible, and by not simply assuming that people know what you're talking about and therefore not bothering to explain properly.
